Shenzhen Afternoon Private Tour of Huaqiangbei Shopping and Dance Shows

1 review
Shenzhen is China’s answer to Silicon Valley—but, unless you speak Chinese, Huaqiangbei’s welter of retail outlets is just bewildering. Head straight to the products you want with the help of your private guide, then unwind at Splendid China, Shenzhen’s original cultural theme park. Tour miniature villages, watch two spectacular dance shows, and feast on a Chinese dinner. Your package includes door-to-door round-trip private transfers.

I read some reviews and came in for a casual game of pool on the weekend. When I came in around 7pm the bar was empty apart from some local guys were playing pool, not drinking or eating anything. I asked the lady working at the bar if I could play. She said I could and arranged for me to play one of the guys, who obviously weren't customers but were there to use the table. Some message seemed to pass to the guy in Chinese and I had the feeling that I was being allowed to win. Then, after narrowly losing a couple of games to me by missing easy shots, he suddenly sank difficult 3 banked shots in a row and smirked. There were easy direct shots that he could have taken. Felt very much like he was making a joke at my expense, so I stopped playing him. It wasn't at all like playing some fellow customers that are there drinking and having fun. As soon as I stopped the lady that served me (who showed no interest in playing me even though I had asked her initially) went over to play him. They seemed to be friends. This place feels like it's for local friends of the staff, not for customers.

I visited my cousin for a week and stayed in Shenzhen with her. I loved Suzy's Lounge Bar because the bar was big, and even though there were a lot of guests you wouldn't notice because the place isn't crowded at all. The drinks were reasonably priced too. We came a few minutes before midnight and left about three hours later - the bar was still open! The staff was really nice too.

I have just returned from business trip from Guangdong, China and stayed at the Kempinski Hotel in Coastal City, Shenzhen. My colleagues and I were amazed at the commercial modernity of this once fishing village, and now its filled with skyscrapers, themed parks, and shopping malls! Unfortunately, our brief and rather toxic business stay didn't really last long so we didn't really get to experience them all, for we were almost outside during the day to attend the meetings and events that summoned us. During our second to the last stint at the wonderful city however, we had the time to treat ourselves and experience the glittering nightlife that the city offers. Our hotel was situated around nightclubs and bars, and within just a few steps, we instantly found a modest venue that suited our taste, the very cozy Suzy's Late Night Lounge Bar. What it lacks in size makes up for its coziness. Inside is a crossover of retro and contemporary designs, a fitting background to the different wines, spirits, and daiquiris that line up the bar wall. Popular favorites like Budweiser, Carlsberg, Jagermeister, Heineken, San Miguel and the local Tsing Tao. They also serve a variety of light snacks to go with the drinks and satisfy different taste buds. My colleagues, who prefer classier spirits also got their favorite bottle from the Jack Daniels, Capt. Morgans, Jagermeister, Jim Beam, and Glenfiddich included on the drinks menu. The six, all female staff was friendly enough to entertain us, and they all speak English fluently, making up for a refined conversation. One of the wide screen HD TVs was mounted on the bar wall, tuned in to the local news while the other was treating the other foreign visitors to a DVD movie. A pool table was also available for some friendly competition, and the bar was modest enough to have a nice, clean comfort room. With the bars cozy, serene ambiance along with the staff’s fast and friendly service, Suzy’s Lounge Bar promises a night of relaxing fun. No wonder both locals and foreign travelers frequent the place! Find out more about this cozy lounge bar in Shenzhen by visiting their website at http://www.suzy.nu/.
