If you have time, you can spend hours here, relaxing and walk around, a green land inside the hustling city of Shenzhen. Yet, if going by public transport, only accessible by bus, no metro station near by. You need to take a bus to/from the near by Metro station.
But it worth going there.

This park is one of the largest and most beautiful parks in Nanshan District. Every Saturday and Sunday, you can find so many kites, with so many colors and shapes, flying here. Plenty of trees and walking paths....bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the scenery.

I had actually visited this park just to see the scenics and get away from the busy city life. But I ended up enjoying on all the variety of roller coasters and rides they have.

Like most parks in sz (I've been to nearly all) this is big clean and green. However there is nothing about this park that is special. Nice to walk. Lots of families flying kites or walking.

As in every city in china there is a similar Zhongshan park. Lots of statues. 2 gates to enter.

Both have bus stops

This park is ok. Nothing special compared to many other parks in SZ. Given the proximity to Xin'an ancient town, it's worth a visit in combination. The lake area is fairly dirty due to the boats and people fishing.

We had a short stop here on our tour of China mainly to ride the roller coasters. The rides are at the very back of the park and although a pretty walk past statues and lovely greenery it's still a good 10 minute stroll from the front entrance to the rides.

Rides use tickets and are reasonably inexpensive. You can buy tickets of certain value and get 'change' in the form of lower value tickets...so if you have a ticket worth 10 Yuan and the coaster costs 6 Yuan you get a 4 Yuan ticket as change from your 10. There are a handful of spinning rides, a powered dragon coaster and other attractions suitable mainly for younger visitors although adults will probably enjoy the Spinning Coaster and the Tagada ride...great fun.

Worth a visit.

It is a very nice park. No animals or other fancy stuff, just some big green areas, two lakes and a lot of space to relax, for kids to play, etc. If you have free time in Shenzhen or you are near Shenzhen University it is worthy to take a look.
