A waste of a day

The hot springs building is derelict and the swimming pool is closed. It took us an hour by bus and foot to get here. This attraction should be removed from this site.

Shiyan Lake - hot spring resort
Dec 2011 • Friends
Shiyan is a town on the edge of Shenzhen, not to be confused by the city of Shiyan in another part of China.
Shiyan Town is a family style town surrounded by heavy industrial areas. On the north side of Shenzhen, and not too far from the airport it is a small town with average shopping, 2 KFC's and a Mcdonalds.
Shiyan lake is a not very picturesque lake on the edge of town, however it's redeeming feature is an old hot springs resort.
Entry will cost around 100 RMB, and it features a large outdoor swimming pool (cheaper entry for this, so more crowded) and a hotspring area with a large hot pool and several small spa pools large enough for a handful of people.
There's a small cafeteria serving food outdoors with a few tables and chairs, and a relaxing garden area.
Advertisements for massage at an extra charge also.
I recommend you come here in the winter as sitting uin hot springs in the heat of the summer just isn't so inspiring.
