Located at the base of Big Nanshan Mountain, Evergreen Resort is as much about enjoying stunning scenery as it is about offering family-friendly activities. The emphasis here is on the environment and educational fun, and though there are no rides, kid’s won’t be bored thanks to a butterfly park, an interactive rain forest (bring an umbrella), and an Amazon fish display.

I have to admit I only knew Shenzhen with buildings everywhere but this time, with our 2 young kids, we discovered a nice side of the city! The park is big enough and ideally located to really feel cut from all the urban area, there are nice playgrounds, themed areas (amazon with interesting paths going up and down, pottery house,... This is what I would describe as an eco park. It covers a vast area and has many areas. There is a rainforest area which is really cool and pottery area with unique designs. Peacocks and other birds. Many statues and centerpieces made from recycled materials. If you take children there's a great park area with physical games to play.... More

The park is in need of a lot of maintenance work! It has lots of litter in some of the attractions that distract from their appeal. Their traffic control for getting large groups in and out of the park needs to be evaluated and improved. Large numbers of school children fill the park way above what the parks capacity should... The park is not very well kept, which is disappointing for a place that charges admission (60rmb). There are tons of kids running around on the weekend. The butterfly house is nice, but too many people inside grab the butterflies. The amazon fish are cool, but there are too many of them in too small a tank. It's very sad... More

I found this to be an interesting place but I wouldn't spend more than a few hours here. There are different zones that have different sights as the other reviewers have said. There are some large amazon fish that were cool, maybe my favorite part of the park. Its not super clean or super well-maintained just average in my opinion.... More

It is definitely worth while to visit the Evergreen Resort. The park is divided into different sections, even though one moves smooth into the other. Some of the sections are: Amazon fishes, Butterfly Farm, Jurassic Park, Rain forest etc. There are restaurants, an eating area and tea house within the park. It is a nice place for kids and adults.... More

This is for the main restaurant there... All open eating with roofed terrace type seating on the side of Nanshan Mountain... The sizzeling beef is good as well as the deep fried spicy eggplant... A good place to get way from city life but still be in the city... You can get there by 369 Bus in the westerly direction...... More

This was a wonderful park that seemed to have something for everyone. While there are no rides, the children (7 and 9) were never bored with their time here. A must is to visit the "rain forest." Oh, and take the umbrella that they offer, you will need it.

This paid park is a little out of the way, but if you have a few hours to play it's worth going to. It's great for kids and families...and young people in general. Lots of walking and lots to see and do. Weekends, especially sundays, are busy!
