Xiaomeisha beach
Jul 2021 • Friends
The view was nice but the area around the beach was dirty. It was far and with a terrible traffic jam on the way to there and on the way back.

Hated it
May 2016 • Solo
This is run down and in need of an upgrade. Struggles to cope with busy weekend crowds.

The entry fee is 160 rmb. Extortionate.

The habitats are small for the animals. And they have a polar bear in a shoe box with no stimulation.

Jelly fish area was the only saving grace.

Plus it's hard to get to. I took the 103 bus.

Avoid at all costs

Tired and rundown, but entertains small kids
Jan 2016 • Family
This place looks a bit neglected, and one of only 3 large buildings was closed the day we went. There was barely anyone there (midday on a weekday) - not sure if it gets busier on weekends. I was able to find enough entertainment for my 18 month old, for about 2 hours, and that was a stretch. Don't miss the 11am show, or you've pretty much missed the whole thing. Some of the tanks were small and I felt bad for the animals. This pic of a large turtle sharing a SMALL tank with two large goldfish about sums it up. If you're super bored with toddlers in Shenzhen, this place is worth a visit, but otherwise I'd find something else to do, especially if it's a long trip from your hotel like it was for us.

Not too big but not bad
Jan 2015 • Couples
Not that big but ok if you are taking your kid which allows you to walk less and just enjoy the whole experience as a whole. If you pay attention to the animals in there and really try to enjoy their company, it's not a bad choice. Doesn't always have to be huge to win. Small means less crowded and more freedom as to what you can do and the amount of space you can enjoy in the park.

An absolute dump!
Dec 2014
An outdated attraction now rusty and faded. The animals are kept in cramped, squalid conditions. The Polar Bear needs to be set free from it's tiny, dirty concrete box with a viewing window so green with slime we thought it was abandoned - until we saw the poor bear hiding in the darkness of the back corner! The deafeningly loud techno music blaring at the Ukranian diving/clown show must be destroying the sea animals' hearing as they perform several times a day from their tiny, rusty, broken concrete pools. There is a machine gun target shooting area (seriously??) at the back corner behind the main building which is full of dusty dummies wearing faded costumes and ill-fitting wigs... Scary! Being at this place, I felt sick! And a bit scared... No whale shark, no polar exhibit, no food!!! JUST AWFUL!!!!!!

To have the opportunity to touch a real beluga
Aug 2014 • Family
Was very surprised because usually in China you pay high price for nothing worth...
It is not Hong Kong Ocean park... We had the opportunity to play with a beluga... which will satay a very good moment for my kid.. but you have to pay for it... like everything in this country
The crowd is local and fairly noisy... The amphitheater for the show was hot like hell and basically nothing was done to make you feel at ease.
Thank you Beluga to have saved my visit !

Don't go there, just waist of money
Aug 2013 • Family
The park by taxi is 5 mint from Dameisha beach ( 12 rmb) & around half an hour from the Shenzhen central (80 rmb).
Ticket price:150 adult,75 children(1.2-1.5 m height )
Compared to the price the service is very very low & the park is not maintained well.
Do not go there & in substitute the OCT East park has three valley each one need one day go there .

Don't go there, just waist of money
Jan 2012
I went to ocean world after fairly good reviews on tripadvisor. If you are from west you will not find this worth the trip. Dirty, and very low quality on the park. I would almost call it a fraud. After 20 min we escaped the park and promised our self that we never would come back and that we must warn other western people's to go there. It seems that Chinese peoples enjoy it
