Another in the city park
Mar 2020 • Couples
Probably one of the parks closest to the city center but can also claim to have a decent mountain top for a good workout and a panoramic view at the top. It also has enough varieties of flowers, trees, ponds, and paths to make time spent there interesting.

Lovely space in Shenzhen
Oct 2019 • Friends
A beautiful quiet park in Shenzhen.
Can be reached by the metro (Lianhuacun stop) or the bus for which the stops are very close to the park.

Very green and leafy with small water bodies around. You can hire a small paddle boat and paddle around..
There are two short hikes to get up to see the views. Two viewing pavilions that we were able to get to.
They are gentle hikes..
Stairs all the way, with small resting pavilions along.
Wear proper shoes. Carry water / snacks with you - there is nothing up there.
Entry is free
You can easily spend 2-3 hours here

Wonderful park to spend a few hours outside
Feb 2019 • Family
We took the bus to this park, and spent an hour hiking to one of the two mountain tops. It's beautifully laid out, leafy and with great views. Many places to rest, sit, play ball or fly a kite. Only two places to eat, apparently, so bring water and some snacks.

Beautiful, leafy, shaded, with wonderful facilities and great views.

An excellent and easy day out if your in Shenzhen on business. 25 minutes walk from the underground via Huaqiang Road (electronic, copy phones, etc) will bring you to this beautiful leafy urban park. Full of locals, joggers and butterfly catchers, this really is a wonderful place to escape the noise and bustle of Shenzhen. Pack a lunch and make a day of it.

One of Shenzhen better parks
Feb 2016 • Solo
This a large picturesque park in Futian. Shenzhen is a city of parks. This is quite large and has lots of bright blooming flowers. It has a river which is nice to walk by and a lake you can take a boat on. Many green areas to sit or sleep or fly a kite. Very busy with locals and families and ideal for bike riding also. There is a nice hike to the peak which gives a great view of Futian. Also a nice exhibition hall of art.
Plenty of snack bars and toilets

Exercise with Reward of a View
Feb 2015 • Solo
Shenzhen can be a very mountainous in many areas and Bijiashan Park is one of them. It is a an exercise and climbing park and stone steps will take you up to the top for a great view of the city from up there. You need good knees for this climb to the top which takes quite a while to get up to the top. Along the way there are rest stops and picnic areas.

Once up there, take your time to catch your breath, have a cold drink from the concession & restaurant at the top and sit around a table for a break. The top is a great place to take photos of the city from. From up there, you can see the stadium and many famous sights. Make sure you go back down the same path you came up, or you will find yourself on the other side of the mountain.

Best Natural View of Shenzhen
Feb 2015 • Friends
This park has numerous different types of walking tacks and bush walks for all types of walkers. The grasslands makes it great for hang outs and catch ups, and the view from the top of the hill is to die for. Though make sure you go on a clearish day. If it's smoggy then you'll practically see nothing.

Bi Jia Shan park, if you want beautiful nature and silence
Nov 2012 • Couples
Like so many of China's beautiful parks, Bi Jia Shan park is not an exception. The excitement, trafficnoise and pollution in Shenzhen is at times so troublesome, that being able to retire to a quiet park is well. The park is huge, with long and numerous hiking trails. Beautiful flower and beautiful trees. The park also has a separate area for sports and leisure activities shall. Many Chinese people playing table tenis and other activities when we were there. I was particularly fascinated by nature and flowers, and the silence and clean air.
Allow plenty of time if you want a quiet and pleasant forest.
