If you love clean beach don't go to dameisha, besides being crowded (ups! weekends def avoid!) is dirty as well. I usually take a taxi or bus to further beaches such as xiaomeisha and or xichong. The water should be better but depends on the sea tights, def will be less crowded. Usually beaches have a 20RMB entry fee.

Could be a really nice place but chinese trow on the beach everything so is full of plastic bottle, plastic bag and a lot of refurbishes. That's so pity!!!!!! Until when the Chinese government won't put a strictly rules with a high penalty about how to mantein clean the location this place will be always too bad. Personally I won't... More

The beach is very nice either for a walk of a swim if....it wasn't where it is. Crowded at every time of the day, the worst was that people were just throwing garbage on the beach or even worst in the water. Impossible to swim if you want to get out alive. A real pity.

Very crowded and very dirty... Just go once to tell your friends that you have visited a Chinese Beach. If you are from a Med Country you will feel appreciate more your Country and the beaches... Many funny photos to take also, don't forget to charge your phone.

Dameisha was the first beach I have ever visited in China and I have seen photos from travel blogs that enticed me to travel a long way by bus to get there. I wasn't expecting much from the beach but when we went there, it was some sort of a holiday and there were around 44,000 people who were also... More

The place is jam packed during weekends and public holidays but on other days the place is lovely and the sand is soft and water is warm. However, it is not the best beach in the world by a long stretch but offers some nice views and a place to enjoy the sea and sand with family and friends. Facilities... More

I will look forwards to saying to others, "I have seen the Dameisha Angels". They are awe inspiring. The beach it self is not quite up with places like Phuket but it is a great beach. The swimming is well controlled, the kids are safe. The shops / stalls are tidy. It was a great day out.

The public beach has a wall explaining the history of Shenzhen which was interesting. A few free standing tall art form of people enjoying the beach can be seen from afar. There are lots of people there on weekends. More accessible on weekdays. Small shops for swim wear and goods across the street. New outlet mall a few blocks from... More
