Actually in winter the water is CRYSTAL CLEAR with some REAL MARINE LIFE BIODIVERSITY going on down there! Don't underestimate the sea's ability to cure itself from overcrowding in summer P.S.: One of the best swimming beaches in the world. More beaches are too tidal or lacking life savers from my global travel experience

If you're in love you should go and walk over this very nice sandy beach. The only sad thing is that Chinese people don't keep the place 100% clean. If you look around you you'll find the love harts carved in the sand next to you. So come and bring your hart over here too.

Great day out. Very clean and clear beach and sea. Knocks spots off a uk beach. Interesting statues to see on the beach. Inaccessible by metro which is a negative. Highly recommended

If you are looking for a place to getaway than this stretch of shoreline is the perfect getaway from the everyday grind.I suggest to get there early for the parking situation. Also be prepared to stay late to just enjoy star gazing. We had a great time.

The beach itself is ok. Decent to visit during weekdays. Make sure to avoid during weekends in the summer season. It will be way to crowded and probably you will be stuck in traffic for an hour or two. The sheraton and kingkey hotels are highly recommend. Especially if you are able to get an off season deal. For better... More

One of the most beautiful sceneries of the South China Sea ,nice stretch of fine sand and emerald waters but if you want to spend a great time you have to choose the right moment to go.What is inmensely beautiful could be transformed in a nightmare because the quantity of beach goers but the beach is always there and the... It really depends on what you're going for? If its a long day at the beach, swimming etc., then no. If its just a sight seeing photo opportunity stop or perhaps some dinner and drinks with a view in the evening, then yes. The reasons for the no are... too crowded. The beach and water is less than desirably clean.... More

Absolute crap, the sand is like it has been dumped from a building site. Never consider going here on public holidays, public transport is impossible and the beach is so crowded. From the main promenade walk away from the crowd to the west. Plenty of entertainment watching the marriage ceremonies as they are photographed in the bushes, in the sea... More
