The temple is built in great traditional Chinese architecture so there lots to see in terms of architecture. However what makes this place interesting are the rock formation behind the temple. You probably could take at least half a day to wander amongst the formation. The formation are named, in Chinese. So those who understands will enjoy more. If not, just wander around and take in the scenery. Oh finally, bring mosquito repellent and umbrellas if you plan to visit during summer.

The temple is situated in a secluded, rather 'hilly' area with beautiful scenary. It is a 'quiet' place with eye catching temple decorations. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. Traveled there by private car during 2013 New Year holidays, so am unable to provide details of how to get there. Enclosed is a map in Chinese.

We see the religious ceremony in this temple, it was very interesting. The temple is situated in quite place with mountain view. From Shantou it takes about 30 minutes to get there. Worth visiting if you are interested in such kind of places.
