This is actually the Naval Museum (TA reviewed). As well as British, it’s anti French, Russian, American, Japanese and Qing. Mind you, the British do get more than a few special mentions. If you’re a Brit and easily offended or embarrassed by British history don’t go.

It’s in the same park as WeiYuan Fort (TA reviewed)

The Opium War Museum (TA reviewed) is a completely different museum. It’s north-east of the Naval Museum and about half the distance from HuMen bus station as the Naval Museum in the ZhenKouCun district.

This museum outlines and traces the influence of the British from trading, shipping and the impact of the opium war in China.

What you see is what you get - the British wanted some Tea plants to take to India so they played the long game and did some disgusting things

go see this Hall for a perspective adjustment a la Chinese style. Some of the points are reasonably well made and historically accurate. Other points . . . are not. You decide.
