My fellow foreign teachers and I decided to climb Guanyin mountain as a day trip on Saturday Oct 17th from Dongguan with bus L4. Some of us walked up and some took the bus up. It was great walking up. It is steep and about 7km. Once you get up there the atmosphere is really nice. There are restaurants up... More

A beautiful place, I went on Saturday and I was not crowded the weather was a bit stormy but it gave a really unique view of the landscape, it's a hike to top even from the trolley, and don't forget to do the zip line on your way down.

U can enjoy 10% discount if you register with your name & phone number on their website first and get a discount code. It was a lot of fun to get to the top by small bus, walk after that a while , get some honey from the old lady right on the top of the mountain. Having reached the top, you can enjoy amazing view over the whole area! This place is sure worth visiting! If you go from Dongguan centre take... More

Nice for a quick visit since the location not a very touristy place. Avoid holidays. Not spectscular, but need to climb quite bit on steep stair casein the last 100m. Can be tough for the elderly, handicapped or kids.

There's a huge statue of Chinese Goddess GuanYin and many shrines. Unless you're religious it may not be worth the long walk up the deep slope...

Keeps paying the moment you arrives at entrance. When it is crowded, hardly anyone queue for the vehicles to take you up and down the mountain, and the ticketing folks cannot even be bothered to control. Besides a temple and few annexes, nothing else. You wandered why you paid the entrance fee! The visitors kill the attraction!
