Integral part of any visit to Weiyuan Fort or the Sea Battle Museum (if open). At sea level, hawkers have stalls under the bridge and you can enjoy the aroma of the seashore detritus. A climb to the site of the former Qing army barracks lets you cross the bridge above the road and bask in the incessant blaring of... More

We spend the day in Humen being tourists. The bridge is quite something. My partner who is an engineer commented on the advanced engineering required to build a bridge like that. It is another one of those quirky contrasts you see in China where you have an advanced structure like the bridge and then undeveloped, very basic living conditions around... More

Beautiful bridge from land or sea. If traffic is really heavy you can still take the ferry instead. On a clear day the views are great.

the bridge was built some 15 years ago to connect the two towns. this saved their travel time by a few hours. the bridge is very tall and an engineering marvel, but you cannot walk on it. It has too much traffic. We just saw it from the Humen war memorial building. But from a distance it's quite a site.

I can not remember a crossing on this bridge without having to sit in traffic for at least a half hour. If your thing is sitting in traffic this is the bridge for you!

Sure, it's a nice bridge, but I wouldn't really call it an attraction. Plus all the memories everybody has of this place is the huge traffic jams that are always present when driving over this bridge. I don't know anyone that would tell you they enjoy being in traffic on or towards this bridge.

I have crossed this great bridge more than 10 times every time that I drive my car from Dongguan City to Zhuhai to make my way to Macau. Maybe it's just pure coincidence, but literally "every time" i cross this bridge, there are always Road Works and that makes obviously the this part of the trip much slower. Other than... More

The bridge is good, the river is bad, everything else is bad too, I don't want to get through all the terrible Humen downtown traffic just to see that bridge, no way.

A great bridge to view.. even better in person. It looks great seeing it next to an old historical fort underneath it.
