Nice Climb to a Pagoda!
Jan 2020 • Solo
Chang’an Park had an epic entrance gate in traditional Chinese style. It’s huge! Immediately upon entering the park from the little convenient store on the side you will see the steep stairs leading up to a huge Chinese pagoda on top of the hill. There are lots of steps but worth the climb. The view at the top is amazing. You can see a huge mountain with some other distant temple on the side. Anybody know that that is on the mountain that is visible from the pagoda at the top of Chang’an Park? Anyway I recommend visiting. It’s a quick hike up and a nice view. Very photogenic place!

Great day in nature, but don't climb the mountain unless you are prepared for lots of steps!

A few friends and I decided to visit Chang'an Park and hike through then park. My friends were younger so our pace was brisk and I was winded at the top. This could be a much easier hike at a slower pace. There is a lake where you can feed carp and plenty of benches to sit in the shade on a hot day. This is a great escape if you have a few free hours or half day. Make sure to bring a camera, there are lots of birds and a temple.

Worth visiting

As variation on my very hectic business trip the visit to this park was a nice moment to relax. The park had a very nice atmosphere around it and some nice views to be seen, especially from up in the tower where you can go in and view out over Chang'an.
Also there's a small attraction park for kids and you can ride waterbikes in the lake.

Beautiful Park that reminds westerners of "Old World" China.

Beautiful Park that reminds westerners of "Old World" China. On a clearish day its very nice, though pollution in Chang'An is pretty bad. I would suggest going after it rains.

This is a fun thing to do on a weekend when you are looking for a reason to get out of your hotel room and stretch your legs. It can be busy at time.

Chang'An best district in Shenzhen plus park
Oct 2014 • Business
I have stayed in Chang'An no less than 30 times. It is the best district in Shenzhen. Chang'an Park is a short walk from The Parklane Chang'An Hotel, which is a mainly business hotel. After weeks of travel in Asia at suppliers, this park is a treat and great exercise. Many stairs so get ready for the walk up. At the top you will see locals using the exercise equipment and preforming TaiChi in groups.
A nice short walk/escape in the middle of business central.
