Okay views of sea/surroundings, but can't go inside

As another review has mentioned, it's not possible to go inside the lighthouse, but you can take pictures around it. The views of the sea and surroundings are pretty good, and there's a small park nearby with pretty flowers. Plus, there's no admission to this park. Not worth going if you just have a few days in Xiamen, but if you're staying here for a long while it's a good place to check out.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and there were some tourists there, but otherwise it's not crowded and the area is fairly clean.

Beautiful lighthouse with park

Very beautiful lighthouse park. you can enjoy the view of the park and sea from base of the lighthouse. beautiful garden and flowers.

A quick stroll

You can't go up the lighthouse, as it does normally serve its function to the public. A long path leads up to the lighthouse, and it is a nice walk which takes around 5-10 minutes. There's a small temple along the walk. You can walk up a flight of steps to the base of the lighthouse. The seaview is not an entirely a pretty sight. You can see afar and the opposite shore of ChangAn district, but otherwise closer surrounding area is rather dirty and messy.

Not a must-see.

Lighthouse themed park

There is a towering lighthouse in the Lighthouse Park near Xiamen Wutong Pier. It is a ventilation pipe of the Xiang'an Undersea Tunnel that connects Xiamen Island and Xiang'an District. The ventilation pipe is cleverly designed to function as a lighthouse to illuminate the nearby sea. It is quite special. , but it is not possible to visit inside, you can only see its architectural appearance. There are several display boards around the world introducing famous lighthouses around the world, which is of educational significance. The park is well planned and maintained. If you come to the Wutong Wharf area, you can drop by here for a visit.
