Wanda is by far my favourite mall in Xiamen. Some of the others tend to be dirtier and have small stores that sell cheap, bad quality stuff. Wanda is super clean and I love the selection of stores they have. The usual suspects: H&M, Mango, Bershka, Zara, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear, Uniqlo, Esprit, etc etc. But they also have good quality Chinese stores. I really like Hot Wind and Westlink. It’s cheap but actually suprisingly good quality, shoes especially- got a pair of heeled boots for cheap that I LOVE. Also the food court is really good and I like the sushi place they have which has a conveyor belt. Also don’t miss the stores on the outside of the mall. They’re really nice boutique stores.

The shopping mall has a lot of different international shops as well some chines brands! The reason why I go to Wanda is because around the mall you have some great restaurants (for example: Golden Olive Greek restaurant). The easiest way to get there is by taxi.

The Wanda Movie Complex at Jimei University is very modern and clean. But it is not open to the public. They really only cater to VIPs. Admission for a film showing on July 25 at 8pm was an outrageous 180 RMB or the equivalent of $27.00! This admission price is way too expensive for the average Chinese (or Westerner, for that matter). I would advise anyone thinking about going to a movie here to think again and find something else to do. It is just not worth the money.

I have visited all of the shopping centres in Xiamen and like this one the best. Clean, good shops, good choice of eateries, and just a nice place to shop.

Whether your tastes are local or international, the Wanda centre (someone told me one of their biggest in China) is a very good place to shop, eat and have a look around. It seems to be busy from very early to closing time (around 23:00 I understood) but it is so spacious that moving around is easy. Park there, or at the nearby Langham hotel for easy access...

This shopping mall was recommended by a local. Large mall covering three levels and has a good food street outside running parallel to it. Went here twice during a recent visit, the second time was during the week so not as crowded. Caterering for Asian figures in clothing but there are some shoe and bag stores as will as a movie theatre at the end. Starbucks and McDonalds here too so you can get a western fix. As well as Watson’s and Green Party. Top floor has all the restaurants inside but don’t forget the ones outside too they are great, even one called Toilet! Go figure!!

We were very lucky to pick Langham Place as our hotel as it has huge mall - Wangda Plaza - just next door. Super convenient for food and shopping as the 3rd floor has plenty of restaurants, Hakka, Fujian, Japanese, Korean, Desserts, at least more than 20 we counted. There is also a huge Walmart at the basement and be warned it is crowded and large. It sells practically everything from fresh food, beddings, toiletries, clothings, shoes, household items, to appliances.

There are also a few floors of retail shopping but make sure you have enough cash as a lot of local shops do not accept International credit cards based on our experience so we had a few disappointments where we wanted to pay for our purchases but the transaction could not be completed. Who carries so much RMB while on holiday??

Been to few malls in China but found this pretty above average. 1st and 2nd floor are filled with both local and foreign brands so one can pick to suit your pocket. Fantastic sales of up to 50% was being splashed in a couple of shops. 3rd floor are filled with F&B to fill your tummy too.
