I came on the very first week of the Golden Week of China's National Day and at every attraction in Xiamen, it was amazingly flooding with crowd of people; whether you are at Zhongshan Pedestrian Walking Street or at Nanputuo Temple or at this Baicheng...More

Nothing special. We weren’t impressed by this beach, too many people and the water is clean, almost no one was having a bath. Not so much nature around it, suggest much more beaches on gulangyu island.

Maybe I was confused coming to Xiamen, but I was expecting to swim and lay around under an umbrella sipping a drink and eating fruit... but that's not what you do at this beach (or any of the three beaches I visited in this city)....More

There are beaches from the university all the way around the southeastern part of the island to Wuyuan bay and if you have an afternoon, you could walk or bike a good part of it. There are usually families playing in the sand, a few...More

After visiting Hulishan Cannon Fort, I walked along the coast and easy arrive at this beach. As it was a Dec morning, the walk along the beach boardwalk was refreshing. There were many local families there - some kite flying, the kids building sand castles,...More

I love how I can just watch sunrise on one side of Xiamen and sunset on another. Cycled from the east of the island there today. It was beautiful. Take a stroll along the beach and just sit down and meditate with some music. It's...More

Great beach located near Xiamen University. Highly recommend that you take a bike ride around the island - very good roads for bikes around the area. Water is too cold to swim most times of the year, but not much wind at the beach

The beach was very beautiful, and though there were beach vendors aplenty, the beach itself was nearly deserted. Which was nice. We had lunch at a hotel on the beach, which was also very pleasant, and pretty much deserted as well. This would be a...More

The beach actually stretches for quite awhile and lots seems to be going on throughout. Busy beach and a nice boardwalk that snakes along it. Families, couples, groups are all present. A few vendors here and there as well as places to stop off for...More
