A great place to feel the historical and magnificent of Ancient China Palace
Dec 2015
It is a winter day when I visited this place, it is actually a media city which provide scenic spots for film shooting. It is build exactly same with the "Gu Gong" which is located in Beijing, the ancient palace of China. The only difference is the proportion, the proportion of Tong'an Media City is only third-fourth of Gu Gong, this has already become the worst to represent the magnificence, the smaller size has impacted the beauty of it, which is quite a pity. However, there are still some beautiful view which worth to be visited, such as the long aisle in the garden that has a lot of carving and colorful pictures on the top which do not repeat! I was shocked while looking at them, it is so beautiful, I can understand the meaning that those pictures want to represent, just seems like there are some story behind them,so beautiful till I don't know how to express. Not only that, there are also some performance about how the emperor hold court and other interesting events of daily life. The only thing that is completely unacceptable is no even single restaurant! How if tourists are hungry? You can only tolerate starving before you have finished the tour in this fake palace. Although it is fake, it is still some kind of reflection of the beauty of the real palace, Gu Gong. This has burned up my desire of visiting it one day later. Tong'an Media City is not that recommended to be visited as I think that Gu Gong is much beautiful than it and real.

The place in general is very nice with replication of Tianamen Square and the filming site for the ancient Chinese Palace and town. We would recommend this place if you have extra time and nothing to do, as this can be a place to walk around and be entertained by the structures and performances. It can be a more interesting place if the whole place can be better maintained and done up.

It seems the Beijing attraction. All the details are in such a perfect simetry that for visitors it is like been in the Tiananmen Square.

This place contains a great replica and much smaller version of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Lots of photo opportunity in the ground area. It was raining when we went there so less people around. There were some shops that sell drinks, snacks as well as souvenirs. Good place to hang around and see a glimpse of old chinese culture.

No information about the place available, no English speaking guides, most places are dirty.
