there is not much to see except for the view across the water to the mainland from the mountain top.

Was a good hike to the top with some great views of the city. On a hot day bring lots of water and good shoes.

Why do you have to pay so much money just to climb to a high view point? It is a rip off for tourist. Better to spend your time and money navigating the narrow streets and understand the life and culture on Gulangyu.

When visiting the island, going to the top is a must. The views of the surroundings are just incredible. It's not tiring, it's a doable climbing for any person, there are just some steps at the end, but it's not nothing to worry about. Not a place to go with older people who can't climb lots of stairs

This place is called Sunlight Rock and has great views from all over the island and Xiamen. The stairs are very narrow and parts with short treads but it is certainly worth the exercise to go up here. It is a very popular place with all who visit the island. No hawkers here but not too sure if you could... More

This mountain is located in GuLangYu island. It is not that big in scale. You should only come here if the weather is good and there isn't a crowd. I personally think it is expensive at $60 CNY when you Shanghai's the bund is free.

This is the highest point in GuLangYu island. The ticket cost you about RMB63 but I think is a bit overpriced. You have to climb up the narrow staircase so be there as early as you can, maybe before9am? Else consider to drop it.

Reasonably OK to kill the time, if you're there in off season. I was there on a sunny day, and could enjoy it, however I've seen better.. Maybe the Dutch are too spoiled when flowers/gardens are concerned

Loved it. It's such a nice tranquil spot, particularly in the late afternoon as the sun is starting to set. The view is excellent, and the climb is not overly exhausting. It is quite crowded however, so make sure to be careful with your timing. There's some excellent spots around the back to just sit and chill out, enjoy the... More
