Fujian’s “tulou”—enormous communal homes—hold UNESCO World Heritage status. And the 5-building Tianluokeng cluster is one of the area’s most iconic. Save hours of travel plus a world of hassle on this private tour, with speedy transfers direct from your door and a translator/guide to ensure you get to know the locals. Enjoy a Hakka lunch in a family home, see the Yuchang Building, and visit Taxia water town.

I went there July 18 2014 with two friends. When we bought our tickets we never imagined what conditions the poor animals were in. We all thought it would be more like a farm. Similar to their natural habitat, but most of the crocodiles were locked in to tiny cages. They didn't seem healthy or properly feed. I feel very sad that I supported it by buying the tickets showing that a profit can be made out of the animals. One of the things that disturbed me the most was that next to the crocodiles was a large shop were you could buy all sorts of products made out of the crocodiles. Not only shoes and bags, but keychains with tiny baby crocodile heads, or amputated crocodile legs as ashtrays. There was even two large glass case next to the cages full of stuffed crocodiles in all sizes for sale. It convinced me that the Crocodile Park wasn't for the sake of the animals but for the sake of money. I do not recommend a visit!
