September 9 is the Double-ninth Festival, or Chongyang Festival in China. According to the traditions of Fuzhou, one needs to climb high during the Double-ninth Festival in the hope that the kids would grow up quickly. People start to make a kite before the Double-ninth Festival. The kites have different shapes, including dragon head, butterfly and sparrow hawk.
