There are a couple temples dedicated to Confucius in major Chinese cities and Fuzhou is not an exception. This place is right in downtown. We arrived in the morning and were told by a staff that it would open later that day. We returned in the afternoon and there was sign saying the venue was under renovation. Perhaps the management can do a better job in getting the information right.

Spring Festival Couplet is also called door couplet, spring poster and peach mark. It bears a background picture of the time and concise and neatly-organized dual texts to express people's good wishes. It is a special literary form of China. All households would paste a red couplet on the door during the Spring Festival whether it is in the city or countryside and it adds to the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival.
