Free! Steps Training for Drum Mountain
Nov 2018 • Solo
Literally Gold Chicken ⛰️, it’s a free park where a lot of the locals go for their walks. But be prepared there are lots of steps to climb. However, there are various entry points to the park (see maps attached). The southern 南gate is where the main carpark and walking slopes are located

In winter, there’s not much flora to see, but the air is cool and the rain drizzles every now and then. In the mornings, the park is brimming with noise and activities like Chinese and Latin Zumba classes, Chinese dance, Taichi.

There are some nice vantage view points of Drum Mountain and Fuzhou City. You can see this when you walk along the boardwalk bridge (solid brown line on map). The grey lines are the “jungle” paths and have usually more steps.

The other two worth checking out are the waterfall, and the sky bridge.

Tip: Avoid the crowd during the off peak hours after 10am.

Jinjishan Park
Apr 2018 • Family
Fuzhou Jinjishan Park is located in Jin'an District of Fuzhou. As a branch of Beiling Mountains, it is like an enormous green jade that lies across the eastern bank of Jin'an River. It is a famous mountain in the near suburbs of Fuzhou and has a multitude of historic and cultural scenes. Many precious cultural relics from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty used to be excavated here. There are also Sang Brook, Qu Water and lychee forests here with charming sceneries. In particular, Jinji Mountain still retains the primitive scenes of natural mountains and forests and is a rare scenic zone of the countryside in downtown Fuzhou.

Jinjishan Park
Aug 2017 • Friends
I always prefer to visit Jinjishan Park with my neighbors each weekend when I was a child and my childhood memory is full of my bike rides in the park. So many years have passed and the park has taken on a new look through expansions and renovations. It has become an emblem of environmental improvements in Fuzhou.
The park is located at the foot of Jinji Mountain in Jin'an District of Fuzhou and has a covering area of about 108 hectare. It is the only mountain that sets itself into the downtown from the mountains around. There are many places of historic interests in this area, e.g. Shuanglong Temple of the Tang Dynasty on top of the mountain and Dizang Temple of the Tang Dynasty at the foot of the mountain. The former residence of Wei Jie and Tianjun Palace were relocated and reconstructed after 2004 and they both enhanced the cultural background of Jinji Mountain.Later, the round-mountain plank road and Feihong Bridge were also constructed and lots of trees and flowers were planted. There are more and more tourist attractions now.
