Beautiful place

A beautiful Buddhist Temple in Fuzhou, well worth the detour if you're in town. The pictures do it justice.

The Xichan Temple is one of my favorite places in Fuzhou! It is in the middle of skyscrapers and busy traffic but once you enter the park it feels like a different world full of peace and beauty. You can see koi fish and turtles in the water and the buildings are just impressive. Even if it was incredible hot... More

A beautiful place to stroll around. The temple has big lakes, and many buildings to see. Easy to get to because it is next to a bus station. Turtles in the lake.

I was brought here by my mother because my brother disliked shopping. He had fun walking and running down and up the stairs while I had fun taking pictures of the beautiful view. Especially the view from high up, it was speechless. However a few things to warn you before coming, firstly DEFINETLY spray on some bug spray, I did... More

On our adoption trip for our son in May 2016, we visited Xichan Temple. It is beautiful. Our guide was able to tell us things we wouldn't have otherwise known, but it would have been beautiful without a guide as well. Definitely worth a couple hours.

A visit to Xichan Temple will take you maximum 1 hour and that is enough to walk around it, see 500 statues of Buddha, feed fish in the pond and maybe pray if you a budhist. Also you may have shopping in shop nearby to buy some souvenirs. Lots of nice photos can be taken there.

Many beggars and fortune tellers outside the entrance gate. Give at own discretion. Give one another will come. ------------------------------------------------- I took a metered premium taxi from my hotel. 15RMB (within first 3km radius) A quiet temple big compound the houses many Buddhist Buddhas in different halls. Entrance fee is 20RMB per person. Lot of local came for praying. Walking from... More

You can watch monks pray and go about their bussines. It's even more interesting than the sights....

, like the location and surrounding, lots of place for photography, the gate charge should be 10 yuan for normal people instead of 20 ,, and 5 for student instead of 10. lots of temples and beautiful lake with lots of fish and turtles, easily reachable from the city centre by bus .
