I enjoyed wandering across the square to a coffee shop nearby. After that, you can walk up a small hill to see the White Pagoda, Daoist Temple, and a memorial to the 1911 revolution that changed China

A square in the centre of Fuzhou. People congregate here in the evenings for dancing and in the mornings for exercise. There is a fountain here as well as a statue of Chairman Mao.

Our room faces the square, in the mornings people do their exercises and by evening, the locals gather and do their dancing here. Since it was the Spring festival, there were loads of picture takers, us included. It is just another square, nothing to rave about

They change the decorations periodically so when we went it was for the new year. It was beautiful. The park is full of families with little kids setting off fireworks, playing with toys. However, it was stills romantic stroll for two. Very clean park itself but public restrooms not so much. Also very close to the bus line so easy... More

This square is clean, many people came here in the morning to jogging and stretch. This is the center of Fuzhou city, if you plan to visit here, or drive through here in business hour, beware of serious traffic.

Great place to visit on Chinese Lunar Festival - on 15th day of Chinese New Year. Bright and colorful lantern displays all around the square. Nice and quite to sit in the afternoon under the big mango trees. There are many foreign companies come to perform at the Grand Theatre during the year. If you are hungry, there are many... More

The square has a large Mao statue to see but after that there isn't really anything to see. The opera house is opposite, there has only been one English speaking folk singer in the past year. Lots of loud music on an evening and people dancing.

It´s just a square where people dance at night, like in any other square, park or open space in China. Nothing interesting about this particular square. If you want a nice evening stroll i suggest West Lake park instead, bigger and more people dancing and singing.

not as big as Tianamen, but it's a square and it's full of bustling locals and close to the scenic park behind Mao's statue.
