By Australian standards, this place is a bit sad. It is a tired looking with maybe four of five giant pandas in separate enclosures without a lot of stimulation. Plus a bunch of red pandas. From memory the pandas are asleep around 12-1 so go before or after. The place was full of mosquitos. Be aware of the steep walk to the entry.

At this attraction you will be able to a very good and beautiful giant panda that are at a verge of extinction in the world. you will see them live how the eat, how they mate and many more about them.
Do not a small video played everyday in attraction cinema. Don't miss you see many more!

Fuzhou is known as a "second tier" city or smaller city. That being said it has a population of 7.4 million making it smaller than New York City but larger than Los Angeles. Not a lot of tourists come to Fuzhou but there is a lot to see there without the crowds. Which is why it's an especially good spot to see pandas on captivity. They have several pandas as well as some sloth bears, red pandas and a butterfly garden. Be sure to check that the pandas are there before you go as they leave Fuzhou in the summer as it is too hot for them even indoors. My only complaint is that the sloth habitat looked like an old zoo and the panda areas were not extremely better. If you go wave to the school located directly across the street (Fuzhou Lakeside International School) my husband is principal there!

Visited this zoo today. The attraction is poorly maintained for the animals. Saw 3 large black bears cruelly locked in tiny enclosures, highly distressed, pacing and howling with no room to move. There was a roaming area behind the cages but they weren't allowed to go in there. Single panda was looked bored though the enclosure meant it could at least walk around. Overall, I found this zoo very disappointing, sad and upsetting to visit. Not recommended.

I could not help but feel saddened for the animals at this zoo. I didn't see that they were being cared for properly. They looked very skinny and unhealthy and unclean. It was far from the highlight of my trip, and therefore I cannot recommend a visit to this zoo at all.

The Place lacked atmosphere and seemed very run down. The Pandas were clearly far to Hot in the summer weather. Perhaps Visit in Winter. Little information in English.

Poor enclosures, bored animals especially the sun bears. This place is meant to be for the protection of Panda's, but seriously most western zoos have much higher standards. I wasnt happy here, we left quickly

Fuzhou Panda World is located at the foot of Dameng Mountain in the west of downtown Fuzhou and right adjacent to the beautiful Xihu Lake. It has a covering area of 5 hectares and is the breeding ground of many rare species of the world, including the giant panda, the panda-related bears and racoons and 22 resident birds and migrant birds in 20 genera of 13 families. It is the only giant panda protection park for scientific research, pop science education, tourism and sightseeing purposes in the southeastern coast of China other than Beijing and the original place of Sichuan.

When we visited the zoo, I saw only two pandas, although I understand there are four. One was a female whose age made her the equivalent of a human of 100 years, and she, not surprisingly was sleeping and could only be seen on a webcam. There was also what I understood to be a middle-aged male in what looked like sorry quarters and a butterfly exhibit. However, the keepers were very friendly and anxious to tell us about their charges, and things might have been more interesting if their English or my Chinese had been better. But it was a pretty walk through the grounds and I would have enjoyed that on a less muggy day,
