It was a beautiful and varied hike through the Patagonian forest. Our extremely charming and competent hiking guide entertained us with little anecdotes and conveyed many interesting facts about the different ecosystems. In a relaxed atmosphere we walked through the forest where we learned a lot about the different mushrooms and other plants. At the end we had local specialities which were really delicious. And I was lucky: although I hadn't announced it, there was a gluten-free version for me. Altogether a nice excursion, especially because of the nice hiking guide.

We had a day to kill in Punta Arenas so signed up for Best of Patagonia: Forest Hike + City Tour with Borealis Adventures Patagonia. We had beautiful weather and the hike was a gentle, undulating one through a pretty second-growth forest. It took about three hours due to the guide’s penchant for stopping every 10 or 15 feet to talk at us (very annoying). Be sure to bring your own water as none will be offered. After we got back to the car, we ate a delicious vegetarian sandwich standing beside the road, and then started the “city tour” part of the day. The guide took us to the cemetery and a museum. There was no overview of the town or commentary about places we passed. I asked to return to the hotel after the museum, sacrificing the prospect of tea with our guide. The tour was overpriced at US$153/person.

Thank you so much for this feedback. We are sorry that this tour did not live up to your expectations. In order to make this service accessible to adventurers of a wide variety of ages and abilities, we pace our walk at a very leisurely speed, with many stops to allow passengers to catch their breath and to allow our guides to share information about the flora, fauna, geology, and history of Patagonia. We are always working to refine our abilities to gauge our passengers' interest and fitness. You are absolutely correct that we do not offer bottled water. I have updated our tour description to further highlight this and encourage passengers to bring their refillable bottles, so that future passengers will not be unpleasantly surprised. As a sustainable company, we do our best to reduce single-use plastics, and we will continue to strive to improve our communication to this end. I am sorry to hear that you were not able to finish your tour, as we certainly feel that the tea, coffee, and desserts, along with the drive through the Croatian sector and tour of the Croatian style house add value to our tour. However, we completely understand your choice. We appreciate your comment on our pricing, as we are always seeking to deliver great value to our customers and price our tours fairly. We will review this tour's content to see how we can improve to this end. Wishing you all the best!

We had a great time on the ghost walk. Jamie is full of not only ghost stories, but of history of Punta Arenas. She was able to answer every question we had. Amazing tour! We would recommend to everyone.

We really enjoyed this trek. The sun was out and we had an amazing guide with us. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and flora and fauna, despite being a Canadian! A friendly group and a lovely packed lunch, couldn't be better!
