We stayed an extra night at Camp Grey just so we could go on the ice hike. The guides were marvelous - knowledgable, friendly and very skilled in their trade. You gather at their building on the shores of Lago Grey where they give you a backpack to put your stuff in. This pack also contains your crampons and harness.... More

We have gone on other glacier walks and I was not that excited to do this one after a tiring hike to Lago Grey... But it turned out to be the most exciting part of our trip! First a zodiac ride thru icebergs to a rocky island, then a rather steep climb over rocks and even up ladders (!) to... More

We took the ferry from Hotel Lago Grey leaving at 9AM, did the kayak tour at Refugio Grey with Bigfoot Patagonia, then returned by ferry at 1PM. The Ferry was smooth, stable, safe but outrageously expensive. They toured the glaciers on the way back and gave us great views. The kayak trip was fantastic. The equipment was good, the safety... We did the glacier hike and loved it. The group size was small and well paced. There are a number of things to see on the hike and the views are captivating (we had perfect weather so that helped). The start of the hike to get onto the glacier is a little demanding but fun. Communication from Bigfoot prior to... More

We were about to leave to do the ice hike when we were told that the engine did not work, we were told that the next day would, so we waited and got no response.

We did a kayaking trip with bigfoot. Their guide was very knowledgeable about kayaking and very safe. The equipment was good and right for the conditions. Our trip was cut short due to high winds on the lake -no complaints about that as it was a safety decision. When we got back to their shop our bags were missing. We... More

We did this hike on Christmas Day with Pedro and Eduardo. What a great experience!. Everything about our day was well planned and professional. We were taken care of and had an awesome day. The most frustrating piece is the overpriced excursion to the Refugio, but once there, Bigfoot was the best. Even my teens were overwhelmed!:)

Superb adventure. A very well run expedition on the great Grey Glacier. Not particularly difficult, but hike to glacier is a bit steep in a few places – but fun and well worth it. We had a wonderful guide (Micke – sp?) who you can tell loves his glaciers and knows how to keep people safe on them. Stunning blue... More

One month before our trip, we booked an ice hike with Bigfoot Patagonia. In order to do this, we had to obtain reservations on a catamaran with another company (Hotel Lago Grey). We began that process, but despite almost daily attempts, and re-phrasing our question more than one dozen times, the catamaran representative could never understand our request, and made... More

I booked this Bigfoot patagonia's ice hiking tour with such an excitement thinking that this would be the highlight of my patagonia trip. I took a private transfer from PN to Tdp ($150.000) and took the navigation ($60.000, two one way tickets) all for this ice hiking. I took a private transfer from PN so I could make it there...
