Pedestrian only street. Quite with many historic colonial buildings. Many delicious outdoor restaurants. Vendors & Shopping near the square. Street musicians. Impromptu bands & dancing.

We were expecting a lot of restored mansions but they are still many needing restoration. Sidewalks made of wooden planks are interesting. The vendors on the street sell some interesting flea market type things but the "souvenir" shops are pretty substandard.

Arrived off a cruise ship and decided to walk around the area. There are not too many shops/restaurants, and a lot of the buildings were empty and in disrepair. This street does have the potential to be great if they can get more vendors in...More

We visited on a Friday, and it was like a ghost town. Many of the places along the Street were closed or boarded up. Almost all were in disrepair. There was one lovely purple hotel that had been well kept. There were places to eat...More

We loved the stores, architecture and entertainment along this road. It has everything you need and more. Definitely a must see if you are in Iquique. Kind of like Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
