Laguna Cejar

Visited this lagoon on a very hot day. So far it is one of the best thing I've done while in San Pedro de Atacama. Totally recommend it!:D

After seeing the price we turned around and left, as the most vehicles did. In Atacama you have to pay everywhere but small amounts. This was MORE than the nicest termas in Chile with all the equipment.

Biked 50KM return from San Pedro de Atacama and only realized it's closing in 15 minutes, still costed us 12000 CLP. Didn't think the whole experience was worth it especially the views weren't as good as on the way biking here. Apparently the entrance fee is higher during day time (15000 CLP) and cheaper after lunch. The road is quite... More

Went in early April at the end of a hot day (6 pm). We wished we'd gotten there earlier! I think we could have stayed bobbing in the Cejar for hours--it was super fun to float and do crazy tricks in the water. It was such a unique experience--where else can you do this, other than in the Dead Sea?... More

We visited the Laguna as a part of day trip, the entrance is not included in the tour and you need to pay additional 15,000 Chilean pesos per person!!!! It's just a small salt lake that you can float, not so exciting, the guide gave us 50 min to spend there ,including the cold showers. Better go to the dead... More

It's funny because this tour was almost the one I didn't go on because I thought it is just another lagoon but I'm so glad I went, it is one of my favorite things. It is already crazy to visit a water lagoon that you can swim in the desert. But what was even more amazing is that the salt... More

Several kilometres off the main road from San Pedro on a good quality dirt road. there are, in fact, 3 lakes. Only one can you swim in since the others are reserved for bird life. Cost of entry appx £10 equivalent, but well worth it. The lake is apparently more salt concentrated than the Black Sea and quite an experience... More

We took a tour to visit Laguna Cejar. It is a very nice and relaxing tour. The tour first take us to Laguna cejar (30min). Over there we have one hour to swim in this salty lagoon . The salt level is over 30 percent so everyone float. It is quite fun to swim in this lagoon. The water taste... More

Although the cost of this attraction is ridiculous I think it's worth it, definitely an experience being able to literally float around in that lagoon, a very strange/cool feeling! Be prepared to be extremely salty after getting out and the fresh water showers are FREEZING! Overall I thought it was a good half-day trip from San Pedro de Atacama and... More

I presume you can visit this site on your own. A tour is not worth it. Our guide Hernan was not informative and when he would give a few details he would omit details when he would give the English version. As I speak Spanish fluently, I knew when he skimped on details. The "lagunas" used to be free to... More
