I’ve just completed a personalised 5 day tour combining the 4 day Heritage tour but substituting the Roluos temples for Tonle Sap together with the 1 day tour to Preah Vihear and Ko Ker. Mr Raksa was extremely flexible with the schedule, great with communication and even provided complimentary airport pickup due to the number of tour days booked. My driver Mr Handsome and guide Mr David were an absolute delight. They were always early to pick me up, never rushed me at any sight, and quickly learned my preferences and interests so they could tailor the tours to suit me, eg taking me to try local foods, and rescheduling the sunset at Bakheng Hill for a different night when they noticed how tired I was the night we were meant to go there. With their friendly demeanour, great sense of humour and eagerness to ensure a safe and comfortable trip, you’ll feel like royalty. Not only do you get cold lemongrass scented towels and water after every temple visit, it’s all the little details that you’ll remember forever: the cold water bottles are handed to you with the caps twisted off, a torchlight is shone as you walk into darker areas, the visits are timed so that you’re at each spot with a minimum of other tourists and best lighting for photography, you can hand your phone/camera over with full confidence that Mr David/Mr Handsome will take amazing photos/videos of you, and plenty of historical as well as personal anecdotes.
