Jared was so friendly and informative on the morning tour. We visited restaurants and ate delicious food while Jared made sure we had coffee and drinks and felt comfortable. We wandered markets where he spoke fluent Khmer language (he’s a native English speaker - and a white dude, just sayin’). The village we visited was amazing and we saw a family making noodles by hand and another making rice wine. We saw so many plants and animals and rode in a tuk-tuk past ancient temples near Angkor Wat. The food was so good and the tour supports local families and businesses so it was authentic. I live here, but I had not been to any of the tour spots. I’m super impressed and going on the evening tour next.

I always love going on food tours when I travel and this was definitely up there with the best of them. Jared was a great guide and I really appreciated his follow up email with all of the names and dish descriptions.

We had so many unforgettable experiences in Cambodia - but this was top of the bunch for me. Picked up at the hotel in the tuk-tuk, a group of only 4 (which was max for the morning tour) and fantastic and fun guidance from Gerrard/Jared (apologies). My daughter is a vegetarian and her needs were catered for throughout the tour. We started with traditional breakfast at a street side Cambodia restaurant frequented by locals. The glazed pork with pickles and rice was great! Then to the market. So lively, such fun - so many vegetables, herbs and fruits. Without Gerrard I could never have found the plum places - like the roast coffee stall and the nearby stall selling noodles and rice-cakes which were phenomenal. We then travelled out of the city to explore small family farms in the countryside. We witnessed from start to finish the making of fresh noodles to be served that evening in Siem Reap's restaurants. We ate fresh banana fritters bought from a roadside stall. We were invited to taste roast frogs and a multitude of other snacks and side dishes. Finished up with gorgeous lunch. There is so much to say about this tour - don't miss it.

I recently joined Jared on an evening Siem Reap food tour on my second night in Cambodia. Staying in the centre of town near Pub Street I had found it difficult to get a feel for true Khmer cuisine and was keen to find out where and what to eat in the region. Jared, our American but Cambodian speaking guide, was awesome. Incredibly knowledgeable about Cambodian food, culture, language and ways of living, he took us to places in town and further afield including a peripheral night market to eat. I can’t fault the tour whatsoever. The company was great, food tasty and in the right quantity, the timing of each stop was impeccable, the tuk tuk driver was safe, and I learned a huge amount about Cambodian food and culture more broadly. The tour was very well planned - it was clear the organisers had thought carefully about every detail which made for an impeccable experience. Personal highlights included the tasty street food in the night market, the delectable Cambodian desert and the prahok, a fermented fish paste used in Khmer cooking. I’d have no hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone, regardless of your food knowledge and dietary requirements - Jared catered for everyone. For solo travellers it’s a great way to meet people, too! Well done Jared and thanks for a great evening.

My friend and I did the night time food tour with Jared on our first night in Cambodia. We were picked up on time from our hotel by Jared and the tuk tuk drivers (both were very kind). We were taken to 4 savory spots (including a night market where we were the only foreigners) and 1 dessert spot. Jared explained all of the foods and went into the ingredients for each of them. I don’t like eggs and he was really great about warning me beforehand if there were eggs. Jared took us to spots (including a night market) that were not tourist traps (usually we were the only foreigners) and we would’ve never found them on our own. He also told us great stories about life in Cambodia. Highly recommend doing this tour!
