That’s my third time for me to be here after I leave for Thailand. There are three levels of waterfalls and the top one was very very amazing and attractive for both local people and tourists. Wonderful greens environment that surrounds the areas make Kolen Mountain more beautiful that other place . If you come to Angkor Wat ,Don’t miss the Kulen National Park !!!

We did this tour after a hectic previous day visiting the main temples of Siem Reap and by contrast it was a highly relaxing nature trail with history and culture embedded in it. The drive takes about an hour and half from SR and is quite bumpy much of the way! You get shown the 1000 tiny Shiva Lingas submerged in the rivers, nearby waterfall in three levels where you can have a swim if you are so inclined and a very impressive reclining Buddha up a hillock. On the way back we stopped over at a decent country side restaurant for lunch and a nearby demonstration of palm sugar extraction.

Minor quibbles are that the tour company Bayon Tabi tours did not confirm pick up even though the booking said they would and we had to call in to confirm. Also their tour guide Noy though knowledgeable was not very engaging and spent a lot of time on his mobile phone. But then he probably thought we wanted to be left alone!

We had a great tour with our guide Sarat he spoke good English and was very polite and knowledgeable about the area. He even stopped so we could taste red bananas.

In the morning we visited the mountain where we saw the 1000 Lingas, the huge reclining stone Buddha and the waterfall. On the way home we called at the Landmine museum, which I was especially interested in, and then went on to a village where there was a palm sugar demonstration. The guide Marin was great and gave us a lot of useful information. All in all a good day out and we enjoyed it

The main reason why I am rating this tour so poorly is because of the tour company- not the guide who led the trip (who was great!). You are given a window of a bit over an hour for a pick up time. Other companies we have toured with have then emailed us with a smaller time frame, but this company didn't answer any of our emails. An hour is a long time to wait in the hotel lobby for pickup, especially as it dictates when you have to wake up! The second thing that frustrated us was that we learned this this tour company "outsourced" our tour to another company. The guide and driver that picked us up were from a different company. The price is very expensive considering that it does not include a $20 per person park enterace fee, or lunch at a sit down resteraunt (about $10). I think if you booked direct with another company you would save a lot of money (and receive exactly the same tour as this company outsourced our tour) Overall it was about 4 hours of driving for about 1 and a half hours of siteseeing (river, temple, waterfall). We were back at hotel around 2:30 so I also would not call this a full day tour. After 2 weeks of touring Thailand and Cambodia this is the only one that I was disappointed in.

This was a great little tour organized by Bayon Tabi Tour. My Tour guide Narin was really helpful in answering all my questions and explained a lot of things about the local ways of life as well as about the cultural sites. The mountain is about an hour and a half from the centre of Siem Reap and you can get there in an air-conditioned car or Minivan. I had the opportunity of going on Monday morning, so I managed to miss the bigger crowds at the mountain. We visited a small village with a Buddhist shrine and Monastery and a huge reclining Buddha statue at the highest point. We also checked out the 1000 Lingas in the water and a cool little fountain nearby as well as a big waterfall. I also tried out some local food and there are numerous little stalls with both food and souvenirs at this location. As it was only me travelling that day, we moved at a relatively quick pace and got back to Siem Reap by around 1pm. For those who'd like to stay longer, take an extra hour or two. It's a good way to spend half a day and see more than just city life.

We went with our tour guide, Van Lonh, who took very good care of us. He is very personable, courteous and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to show us Cambodia and its people. He made sure we had a great experience.

He took us to a lotus farm and later to a boat ride on the lake. He explained to us the ecosystem, the flora and fauna of the area. Then we went to eat snake, crocodile, and squid. We like to experience new foods and places and Van was the perfect tour guide.

Easy pick up in a van. There were just 4 of us on the tour (probably because it was around Khmer New Year). The reclining Buddha site was packed with local people. It was interesting, but after seeing so many other temples, I was a little "templed out." We then went to the waterfalls which was also packed full of local people. It's a little sad to see how much trash is around the area. The waterfall has 2 parts. The upper fall is small (full of little kids). The bottom fall is the one worth swimming in and is pretty dramatic. They have little containers to put your stuff in that you can rent for $1 while you swim. Note that Cambodian women do not wear bathing suits, so if you wear one (rather than shorts and a tshirt) you will get stares. The water isn't clear, so it doesn't feel totally clean, but it's fine. On the way back we stopped at the restaurant for lunch which is NOT included (you don't have a choice in where to eat). The food was decent, but not great. I had a very good cashew shake.

What a fantastic way to spend the day away from the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap by going to the beautiful Phnom Kulen park. The waterfall was gorgeous. Our guide, Mr. Phearom was phenomenal. He's very passionate about Cambodian culture and history and it certainly showed in the tour that he gave us and his mastery of English is excellent. We had no trouble at all understanding him. That plus he went above and beyond for me too by getting me tickets and a great seat (at the last minute) at this amazing Cambodian cultural show in Siem Reap at the end of a long day. I highly recommend this tour!!!
