Our family of 2 used this tour for our trip in May 2017. We loved our driver and our guide, named Nol, and highly recommend him!! They were very friendly, patient, and just had a wonderful demeanor. They are truly fantastic people, and clearly I have remembered them even after 3 years. First, they picked us up from our resort the 2 days we requested them. Nol, in addition to being friendly, patient, and knowledgable, was really respectful of other tours, and of us. While at a site, another tour group was taking a very long time taking pictures. This group wanted pictures of couples, just the ladies, the whole group, etc..and it went on and on. We all know how important it is to get pictures when you've spend money on a trip so we were trying to be respectful, but they were abusing the situation. After several minutes, and without prompt from us, Nol went to the group and firmly told them they had taken enough time, that it was our turn and the turn of the other groups behind us, and they could take more pictures once we were all gone. Another great thing Nol did, was offer to take pictures of us in unique ways. For example, at the Bayon Temple, he placed me in a specific position to take a very fun photo. Had he not done that, I would have never thought to do that. In the evening, we asked to be dropped off at a site we had visited earlier in the day that we wished to revisit to take additional pictures. We said we could take a taxi or tuk-tuk back to the resort, but they insisted on staying with us until we were done and driving us back to the resort. Another time, they stopped at a market so we could buy and taste a durian fruit. If you have the opportunity to request a guide, please request Nol. A remember to tip thoughtfully.

The organization in advance was very good. We choose what trip we wanted and all was explained well. Also communication was very prompt. Our guide Nol and our driver were also very good. Nol explained everything we wanted to know, not too much details but enough and showed us good vistas. We enjoyed the time very much. Everything was as described and we could adapt time as we wanted. We can only recommend.

Kelly and I came up with a list of temples we wanted to see in the Siem Reap area, I inquired with “Angkor Guide Sam” and we can’t say how happy we did. He set up a five day tour with guide and driver that met all our desired temples, at a reasonable price. We landed at Siem Reap Airport, and our guide Somondy, or “D” as he told us to call him was waiting with the car and driver and we were off. Saying “D” was an outstanding guide doesn’t even come close to describing our experience. His knowledge, passion of love for his country and heritage was extremely evident. What sets “D” apart from the other very professional guides is his care and compassion for others. Not only with strangers we met along the way, but with me especially. I’m not a small guy, and getting up there in age. We were visiting and climbing temples with temperatures in the 90’s, he truly made me feel that he cared. We cannot believe that he is not a professional photographer, he took pictures with our camera and phones that are out of this world. He did things with that phone that I didn’t know could be done (only had the phone at least 5 years). Seeing the temples were breathtaking beautiful, hearing D give us the history and lore brought them to life for me. I can honestly say if you are wanting to see the temples, you must book with Angkor Guide Sam and please ask for Somondy! You won’t find a better guide. D and our driver were always right on time, had ice cold water and to die for ice cold washcloths to cool off with after each sojourn. Our driver was always very safe and careful, and a excellent driver! Thanks “Angkor Guide Sam” and especially Somondy (D) for making our adventure everything we could have hoped and wished for.

Wasn’t interested in the sunrise tour as not the best time of the year for it and more importantly waking up at 4.30am wasn’t overly appealing during a weekend visit. Arranged a tour from 0700 till I had to catch my flight at 4.40pm, and got dropped off at the airport for free (Thank you!). The cold towels and cold water are much needed and the tour guide (Ravi) and driver were excellent. Being a Buddhist whose visited most countries in Asia, I have been to more than my share of Temples, but Angkor Wat and the ‘Tomb Raider’ were very special. Went to a couple of other Temples and called it a day to head to a watering hole for a cool beer (or two).

My husband & I highly recommend our guide Nol & driver Phea for a fantastic tour of the temples around Siem Reap, Cambodia. Nol was very informative about the history and construction of each temple. But he also took care of my difficulty in walking due to an injury and helped me to enjoy the impressive and huge temples. Plus he directed me to the best photo spots. Besides driving expertly, Phea catered to our needs with cold water and towels after touring in the very warm weather. Thank you so very much Nol & Phea for a great time and tour.
