2-Day Angkor Wat Small, Big Circuit and Banteay Srei Tour

Day tours to the Angkor Archeological Complex often rush through the two circuits on offer, which means that you don’t have the time to truly appreciate the history around you. Make the most of the sights on this private tour to the complex, spread out over two days. On the first day, enjoy the temples and ruins on the Small Circuit, including Ta Prohm and Ta Nei. Start the second day with sunrise views of Angkor Wat before exploring the temples on the Big Circuit.

1-Day Wonder Angkor Wat Small Circuit Tour with Sunset

A do-it-yourself tour around the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Angkor can be a false economy, particularly after hailing a taxi or tuk-tuk to get out to the temples. Instead of covering a bunch of temples in a single day, self-guided travelers regularly get stuck in crowds and manage just two or three sites in the complex. Get the most out of your time at Angkor with a private tour that combines the best-known sites, like the Angkor Wat, with several other highlights that many visitors don’t get to see.

Preah Vihear, Koh Ker and Beng Mealea Private Tour

On this special tour, we will travel out of Siem Reap to Preah Vihear temple in Preah Vihear province. Preah Vihear was built on the top of a 525-meter cliff between Cambodia and Thailand border. It gives the best view of forest and villages.

After visiting Preah Vihear temple, we'll head over to Koh Ker temple group. The most famous temple in Koh Ker is Prasat Thom, a 30m-phyramid shape temple, standing high above the plain and the surrounding forest.

Finally, we will go to Beng Mealea which mean Lotus Pond in English. The temple is believed to be the sister of Angkor Wat for its similar model. The temple is largely unrestored with big trees and thick brush growing on the top of the tower.

When the tour has finished we'll drop you back to your hotel or any other location in Siem Reap town.

I consider myself fortunate and grateful to my always thoughtful and incredibly knowledgeable team from Happy Angkor Tour for making my visit to Angkor Wat so memorable. My guide Mr. Rith was happy to share his wealth of knowledge on the history and mythology surrounding the various temples and points of interest we visited throughout the day. The hospitality of the Happy Angkor Tour team and the quality of the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

If you want to explore all the main temples and learn about them, this is the trip to take. They take you from one site after another for two days. There may be a decent amount of walking in the bare sun for a few of them. So be prepared with hats and sunscreen. The sunrise over Angkor Wat was the highlight of the trip. Our guide knew all the good spots to take great pictures. He pretty much became our photographer. We got plenty of pictures thanks to his zeal to take pictures for us. The only thing that bothered me a little on the trip was the A/C. The car had good AC but I wish they could start the car a few minutes before we get in. I had to tell them about this several times. But all in all, a good way to spend the day in Siem Reap. Two full days is all you need.

We had a very two beautiful days. Punctual pick-up at our residence, spacious and clean jeep (fresh water always avaiable). The guide Narith welcomed us warmly smiling. The days were full of discoveries in many ways, all explained in full knowledge of the facts. He made us notice and appreciate every little detail... highly recommended!

"Small Mony" was our guide and did an excellent job of giving us a flavor of several of the temples, while also avoiding much of the tourist crush (although the lack of Chinese tourists due to the coronavirus was even more helpful in that regard). Very personalized and thorough attention. The only things to improve would be a better selection of the sunrise (Angkor Wat) and sundown (Pre Rup) locations: neither were really worth the crowds or time, we thought. Everything else on the tour was fantastic, though!

We made a two day tour with Makara (driver) and Small Mony (guide). Tbh, best driver we had so far in Cambodia, very safe driving style, helpful and courteous. The tour itself was perfect, thanks to Small Mony. We got a lot of information (with some repetitions, which was very good for us, because of the different dates and names of several King’s) to appreciate the wonderful temples in the right context. With just the little background we got from a visit at the museum, this tour helped us a lot to understand the connections between the temples and their builders. Besides his knowledge about the ancient history and his very good English, Small Mony was very helpful and gave us the one or other tip on what to do next. All in all, we were very content with the whole tour (punctual, good English, informative,...). If you have the chance, ask for Makara and Small Mony. It’s worth it.
