We’d originally booked a trip to Cambodia independently, but it was cancelled due to COVID, so when we decided to use an agent the 2nd time of booking, we approached a couple of well-known companies, but I also saw See Asia Differently advertising in our local press so approached them too.

Having had an itinerary in mind already, it was refreshing to work with Peter who listened to what we wanted, and they won the battle of the quotes, not just on price, but also for his flexibility and the fact that Peter has lived in Cambodia himself and has 1st hand knowledge of the country with personal friends and colleagues there too.

Our holiday experience lived up to the promise, with everything going to plan. One thing we hadn’t decided on originally was any tours, but Peter organised our trips as well. There are a lot to choose from, but as a minimum, Angkor Temples are a must, the Palace in Phnom Penh and a trip to Cambodia isn’t complete without a sobering visit to the Killing Fields. All the trips were private for our group & guides were all excellent.

The choice of hotels was spot on for us in terms of quality and location and Peter’s suggestion that we go a little further out to Koh Rong Sanloem island, just out of Sihanoukville, for our beach stint was well worth every minute getting there.

I have no hesitation in recommending this company for your visit to Cambodia, plus a spcial mention to the charming Cambodian people we met along the way who just couldn't do enough for us.

This must be the best tour company in Asia! Peter Jones, the CEO spoke to us directly to give us a consultation to create the perfect, bespoke tour of Cambodia. Our holiday was way beyond our wildest dreams. We were treated beautifully from the second we arrived. The guides were adaptable and very knowledgeable. Our driver was always early and showed us things we would never have known about. The company was in constant contact to ensure we got the best deals and tours avoiding the crowds. They always would adapt and Brian and Raya were amazing with our kids. We saw incredible wildlife, culture, history, had amazing fun and incredible food. Tracking elephants, rare dolphins on the Mekong river, climbing and caving, paddle boarding through the jungle, wake boarding, temples, floating village, stunning countryside and pristine beaches with the most beautiful and friendly people. I have had mixed experiences with tour companies but this was a masterclass in how to deliver amazing service with incredible value for money. Thank you and we will definitely see you again soon!

When I discovered See Asia Differently on the internet, I was looking for 2 things and that was to vacation in either Cambodia or Laos and to get up close and personal with elephants. I contacted the company and the CEO Peter Jones replied backto me promptly. Over the next 11 months we emailed back and forth and Peter created a customized tour for me and a friend. When my friend canceled on me, I almost canceled my plans too because I didn't want to travel alone.. What a mistake that would have been! I traveled to Cambodia and had one of the best vacations ever! When I ran into some personal difficulties while in Cambodia, I reached out to the company for help and Peter came through for me. He was so kind and understanding about my unique situation and I am so grateful to the company for helping me out when they didn't have to. My tour guides were so knowledgeable, respectful and spoke very good English. My first tour guide was Sopea. He showed me all over Phnom Penh. My second tour guide Ra, was with me for 7 days showing me around Mondulkiri Province, Kratie then Siem Reap. Ra was kind, witty, respectable and extremely charming! He really looked after my well-being making sure I was always safe and happy. The entire company including the drivers, tour guides and CEO took great care of me! I highly recommend See Asia Differently to anyone interested in visiting SE Asia. By the way, my up close and personal encounter with an elephant was purely magical!

Excellent organization. The guide and driver took great care of us. During the stay we saw everything important and beautiful in Luang Prabang and its sorroundings, we ate delicious local dishes (in restaurants recommended by guide). This journey was our second great experience with See Asia Differently and we will travel with them again.

I had a wonderful time on my tour by See Asia Differently! My trip was pretty last minute with only a few weeks notice, and when I contacted the company Peter worked closely with me to design a trip that I would love based on the limited information I gave him. He always kept budget in mind and gave great advice on where to go, what to look out for, and how to make the most of my trip. When I was having doubts or concerns because this was my first solo trip he was always available to walk me through everything.
The local guides hired through See Asia Differently were incredible. My guide in Laos went way above and beyond, even taking me to his own local village to find the baby carrier my friend desperately wanted.
Would 100% book through them again!!

Amazing, thank you for organising such a brilliant tour of Cambodia - the memories of which will remain with us forever.
Definitely worth using a tour agent as our trip had to be rescheduled 3 times due to poor weather & lack of tourists flights got cancelled & hotels shut.
But the experience was excellent & very well organised. The operations manager, Brian, kept in constant contact with us via WhatsApp and our driver/guide Ra was such fun and looked after us incredibly. I certainly wouldn't try self-driving in Cambodia.
This was my second trip with See Asia Differently and we'll definitely be using them again in future years. They also managed to fit in a short tour of Bangkok on the way home when we had a long wait at the airport!

Just returned from an amazing trip to Cambodia with friends and cannot praise See Asia Differently enough.
After contacting the CEO Peter Jones for an initial chat about our requirements, we received a bespoke proposal tailor made to our needs.
With a bit of tweaking here and there we finally all set.
From the moment we arrived in Siem Reap ) our first destination) everything went like clockwork. Great hotels, fantastic guides and amazing and informative tours.
Special shout out to Brian, Ra and Mr Raya who looked after us in Siem Reap as well as all the other guide’s and drivers at our other destinations.
Would definitely recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

Just got back from 2 weeks in Laos and Cambodia arranged by Peter Jones who runs 'See Asia Differently'. First met Peter at a travel show in London when my wife and I were thinking about a trip to Laos and Cambodia. Instantly impressed by Peter's knowledge about the Region and it was clear he was somebody able to put together a bespoke trip that matched what we wanted to do. No hard sell, just good information and a friendly and positive approach to doing something for us.

We travelled to Laos and Cambodia and followed the itinerary suggested by Peter that matched what we wanted to do and the kind of trip we wanted. He judged us well and the trip he put together was perfect with a mix of temples, countryside, culture, river trips and jungle!

Started off in Laos in Luang Prabang and then moved to Champasak via a flight to Pakse. After enough days to do some justice to where we visited and the things we did (certainly not whistle-stop) we drove across the border into North East Cambodia. The border crossing was an experience as was the first few miles of road once we were on the Cambodian side that a 4x4 would have found challenging.

We stayed in Ban Lung as the jumping off spot for an overnight Gibbon Spotting Trek into the Cambodian Jungle where we stayed in a 'no frills' research centre as the only tourists on site. Getting to the research centre involved cycling and walking for 2 plus hours on jungle tracks that should have been dry but the late monsoon changed that and made the journey more of a challenge and more exciting.

After settling in at the research centre we had a 2 hour trek through the jungle just as it got dark so that in the pitch black torches were the only way to see the track and each other! Once back a meal and bed to get up at 0315 to get to the gibbons before they woke up.

Getting to the gibbons was on jungle tracks and the experience gained from the previous 2 hour trek was invaluable. Once in position and the gibbons woke up and started to move looking for food. Following them was 'off track' and as fast as possible while keeping safe. After enough spotting it was back to the research centre for a late breakfast and then back on the bikes for the return journey which seemed a lot easier and was quicker - surprising how you get used to something that was a real challenge at first.

Back to the Ban Lung hotel to overnight in a proper bed again and next day off to Siem Reap by road and ferry with a temple visit (Being Melea) on the way. First full day in Siem Reap spent on a boat trip to a floating village and seeing the way the people live with some close up visits to fishermen and a family with several young children in their home on stilts above the water.

Siem reap is mainly about Angkor and visiting the key sites there. That's exactly what we did all the next day. Without a doubt very impressive. The sites we visited were a good choice and the way the visits were arranged made sure we missed the big crowds.

After a busy and fairly taxing 12 days it was time for a bit of R & R so we flew to Sihanoukville for a stay in nearby Kep. Highlight for us was the boat trip to Rabbit Island where we walked the perimeter but most enjoyed the boat trip back because the brisk breeze and the boat crashing through the waves making us soaking wet from head to toe, thankfully in warm water!

Two days spent resting then off for an overnight in Phnom Pen and the flight home. Just before getting to the city we paid our respects at the Killing Field site at Choeung Ek with it's national memorial to those who died in the Killing Fields across Cambodia. Before getting to the hotel we visited Tuol Sleng Museum in the City which is the old (converted school) prison used to house and torture victims before they were taken to the Killing Field and death. Very sobering and much to think about.

All the arrangements made by Peter worked like clockwork and the guides and drivers throughout the trip were excellent. The hotels were ideal, well located and of a good standard. All had good pools that meant the end of each days activity was a relaxing swim and read in lovely surroundings.

Nothing bad to say about our experience over the 2 weeks in fact the opposite - we cannot speak too highly of the end-to-end service provided by Peter and those he used on our trip. We have travelled quite a lot in recent years and this trip will go down as one of the best and one where our time and money was well spent.

See Asia Differently is truly worthy of it's name. I first came across See Asia Differently through an internet search. I was looking for an elephant sanctuary in Cambodia and one of the rare and accessible companies that offered a tour in an elephant sanctuary was See Asia Differently. My boyfriend and I then decided to contact them and we got an immediate response (not automated) from Mr Nico. We had few days to spend in Cambodia and we contacted Nico on very short notice. We're still amazed by how much Nico and his colleagues has done in such a short time. We asked Nico to include Angkor Wat Temples and the Elephant sanctuary in our tour and we had only four days to spend in Cambodia and we were on a budget. Our every 'demand' was respected and kept into consideration. We also did not have any hidden costs.

After approximately 12hrs of travel, we reached Cambodia and we received a warm welcome from the driver and an exotic ride in a tuk tuk from the airport to the hotel which was close enough to pub street but far enough to have a good night sleep. See Asia Differently also provides a personalized service as Nico came to meet us at the hotel and made sure everything was fine and also gave us his personal contact details (which we did not need as the tour was so well planned).

Even though we had a jam-packed itinerary, everything that we wanted was included in the tour. We were able to see both the sunset and sunrise at Angkor Wat and we were able to spend a whole day with rescue elephants. The elephant sanctuary tour is highly recommended as you get to stay in an amazing place with an extraordinary view and see elephants bathe and watch them go by there daily routine. You also get to listen to the atrocities elephants go through because people like to go on elephant rides which makes you more aware on the issue of elephant tourism.

Also, we had very helpful and cordial drivers and guides.

All in all it was an amazing short stay in Cambodia: money and time well spent thanks to Nico and the whole team of See Asia Differently.

We had the Angkor Wat day tour with this lovely company. We started the day by watching the stunning sunrise at the Angkor Wat. Our lovely Spanish speaking tour guide walked as through the temples. They were majestic. Most of my family members can't speak English that's why when we asked for this company to help look for one the gladly helped us. On the following day, we had some great memories to tell about our trip to the market wherein we strolled and enjoyed our shopping. Even though it was short trip i truly enjoyed it. At some point we will be doing some more trips with this company, hopefully soon. Thank you for the great experience
