Kamsan was recommended to us by a good friend who had visited Siem Reap. We communicated directly with Kamsan by email and soon agreed on a two day private itinerary. On the first day we visited the Kampong Khleang floating village and took a boat trip down the river and on to Tonle Sap lake. Since it was the dry season there was a forest of stilted houses rising up to some 10 metres above the river. On the way back to Siem Reap we stopped at Beng Mealea which is an unrestored temple. On the second day we visited Angkor Wat which is really awe inspiring in its size and complexity of construction. After we visited four of the smaller temples in the area around Angkor Wat. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history. As enthusiastic photographers he was also very good at taking us to the best places for photos and for being very patient. I would recommend the Best Angkor Guide and Kamsan to anyone visiting Siem Reap wanting a private and informative tour.

We just finished the 2-Day VIP1 tour. If you are looking to have fun exploring all the awesome ancient temples in the Angkor area while also learning a thing or two, then please do yourself a favor and take a tour with Kamsan. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about the history of the temples, but he also knows how to expertly avoid the crowds. He suggested that we start the tour a little earlier on the second day so that we could enjoy the first temple on the itinerary without anyone else there and to see it in the early morning light. It was definitely worth it as we had the whole place to ourselves for a while. He also had us laughing the whole time with his great sense of humor and all of his tips and tricks to take unique photos. Our driver for the two days, Mr. Phirum, was also very professional and offered ice cold waters and towels to keep us cool between each stop. All in all, it was a great way to spend two days and I highly recommend this tour.

We did the 1-Day VIP2: Main3+B.Srei+Beng Mealea tour with them, got Chong (or David) as our guide. We also requested the sunrise at Angkor Wat. It was partially cloudy so the sunrise was not great, but Chong was! He was very informative and answered all our questions on the temples and on Cambodia history and life as well. He knew all the good spots and good pictures (changing modes to panoramic, portairt, etc) and was fast acting so we would not get any other tourists on the background. One member of our group stayed back because he was sick and when we could not reach him he called and talked to the hotel and explained/convinced them to go check on him in his room. All from his phone. He chose good places to stop for breakfast and lunch and even gave us complimentary celebratory drinks at the end of the tour and had water for us through out the day. The itinerary we chose was also great because we went to some very special temples with very few people, so that was very nice. We did one day tour but got the park entrace for 3 days so Chong also helped us with what else to see the next days. His english was great and you can tell he really loves what he does, we asked him and even if he has no tour he sometimes goes to the temples by himself... we loved him very much! If we are ever back around here we will reach out to this company and ask for him!! Ask for CHONG!!!

Touring with Best Angkor Guide was a truly wonderful experience. Mr. Kamsan, along with our driver, was informative, patient, and energizing. We took the 1-day tour in the Angkor Wat temples with sunrise view, and it was totally worth it. Mr. Kamsan was quite knowledgeable about the entire complex and often gave anecdotes or fun history lessons for each temple that we visited, along with responding to our questions. He also recommended restaurants for our breakfast and lunch meals that gave us delicious dishes. We were even provided with ice-cold water and cool towels to keep us hydrated in between temples. Mr. Kamsan also took us to less crowded areas to take beautiful photos, and he is also quite skilled in taking photos of us!

In short, Best Angkor Guide is indeed the best we could have hoped for. Many thanks to both the tour guide and driver! Keep it up!

Where do I begin? There's a reason he's rated so highly. Kamsan is professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. The Small Circuit Day 1 tour and Thousand Linga Day 2 tour that we booked had ENORMOUS value.

Kamsan arranged the tour and navigated us in a way to avoid the dreaded crowds. He pointed out things we never would have noticed. He shared history and stories in an engaged and enthusiastic way. He also took amazing photos of us and shared them later. He's a really good photographer. He also helped book a Aspara dance performance for us. Kamsan truly made our trip memorable.

I also want to point out another key point. You'll ride in an air conditioned SUV and you'll be given a small water bottle and a cold scented towel each time you come back to the car. It may sound small, but this saved us from the heat (and possibly heat stroke).

TL/DR: Book the tour with Kamsan, you won't regret it.

My extended family visited Siem Reap in February, 2020. Multiple people wanted to do different things for some days, but we all knew we wanted to do similar things some days as well. We reached out to Kamsan with what I thought was a fairly complicated request, and we couldn't have been happier with the results.

Kamsan was professional, friendly, extremely informative, funny, respectful of our time and energy, and an all-around terrific guide. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone considering a visit to Siem Reap.

We took a day trip out to Banteay Chhmar, and Kamsan was excited to lead us as it's not a commonly requested temple. On our day around Angkor Wat, Kamsan lead us through back entrances in the park as to avoid the larger tourist crowds as much as possible. Other temples we visited included Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm, Prasat Kravan, Beng Malea, Pram Temple, Koh Ker, and other temples around Koh Ker. His knowledge about the history, religion, engineering history, etc. was extraordinary.

We traveled in a group of 7 people varying in ages from 30s to 70s, and he kept everyone engaged the entire time and was able to keep us moving while also working with various energy levels within our group. We thought the price for our group was more than fair, too.

Again, we'd definitely recommend him to anyone considering a visit to this area. 5* for sure.

Our tour was led by Kamsan who brought the history of the location to life with excellent storytelling and backed up with plenty of facts..

With children aged 12 to 19 and 4 adults, Kamsan was able to pitch the content just right and keep us all thoroughly entertained.

He also taught us plenty of cool photography tricks with a smart phone and so we have great images to keep the memories of this amazing place alive.

Highly recommend!

On a return visit to Siem Reap after 6 years, I was pleased to be able to arrange a tour of the temples with Kamsan, who had given us a great tour on my earlier visit. We visited the four major temples in the national park area (Angkor Wat, Bayon, Te Prohm, and Banteay Srey) and had a lunch break at a nice restaurant. Kamsan made sure we visited the temples when fewer crowds would be there, and our driver was available to pick us up as we exited each temple, with the welcome offer of cold towels and cold water after each stop. Kamsan clearly enjoys being a guide. His knowledge of the history and his photographic skills were great. He took lots of photos and sent them to us immediately after our visit, saving me from having to take photos myself. It was a very pleasant day, and I can highly recommend this tour.

We were a group of 5 friends and found Mr. Kamsan through Trip Advisor. We were visiting Angkor Wat for 2 days (Undertook Small + Big circuit + Sunrise and Sunset)

Kamsan was a wonderful guide and helped us customise the itinerary based on our requirements. We never felt rushed and always had plenty of time for whatever temples we visited, with him explaining the various background stories around the temples, their architecture and the art on depiction.

He was very helpful throughout (even got printout of our tickets which we had booked online). He was always on time and our taxi was always there with fresh cold towels and bottles of water (a must have considering the heat and humidity, even during August when it's not raining).

We had a really great time with him and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Siem Reap.

This was the best travel tour group experience of my life. I booked a trip last minute to Cambodia having researched very little due to a typhoon in Vietnam and needing to call an audible. Had no plans to visit and suddenly we’re off!

We booked vie email, they were so responsive, and paid every attention to all of my requests. It was incredibly hot when we arrived, Cambodia is very tropical- and every stop we made, they had cold bottled water for us, and cold bandanas to put around our necks to help us cool down. We were talking about seeing some local traditional dances, and eating some local fare, and our guide - Mr.Sothy was quick to take us out to local places, arranging for pick up/drop off from our hotel. It was all very convenient and took any concern or anxiety away from us. I could not recommend this group enough.
