My friends and I went for a one day tour of Angkor with our fantastic English speaking guide, Sum. I had previously visited the temples without a guide and I am really pleased that I went back with Sum. He showed us different areas of the temples that I had not been to previously and he was incredibly knowledgable. He answered all our questions fully. It was a really fun and enjoyable day. He's a great character and such a sweet guy. I would definitely recommend Sum as a guide in Siem Reap.

Bun is an excellent tour guide if you ever consider visiting Siem Reap.
When me and my husband decided we will be visiting Siem Reap, we started searching for the best way to see the main attractions and, thankfully, we found Bun’s reviews on TripAdvisor.
I can honestly say that each of the reviews couldn't be more accurate when it comes to describing how wonderful the tour is with Bun as a guide.
Besides getting to see the wonderful attractions near Siem Reap, you also get to know and understand the history of each site you see & the history of Cambodia.
Not only have we got to see the main attractions, but also we got to see some hidden gems – that made the experience even better because we got to see more of the history & influences from the Siem Reap area.
One of the highlights in my opinion has to be the fact that somehow we managed to avoid all the tourist craziness thanks to Bun – we got to experience many sites (except for Angkor, that will never be empty :) ) as if it was just us in the temples. This is great because you get to experience the beauty and quietness of the place. I truly think that if we wouldn't have Bun as a guide, this couldn't be possible.
Thanks to Bun our first Cambodian trip was extraordinary.
We highly recommend Bun as a guide, because he is very knowledgeable about the history of the temples and the history of Cambodia.

Thank you, Bun!

Just like the late Jacqueline Kennedy in the midst of the Vietnam War then, I have now fulfilled a lifelong dream of seeing Angkor Wat, which was built during the reign of King Suryavarman II of the early 12th century as his state temple and capital city. However, instead of the then Chief of State (later King of Cambodia) Norodom Sihanouk, I had the company of two lovely LADY friends and a kind & wonderful gentleman as our guide :)

We were fortunate to be acquainted with NorakBun Tin, or Bond, as we affectionately call him, our knowledgeable guide who is truly passionate about his work. We learned a lot about Cambodian history, and not only about Angkor Watt but the other fascinating temples as well. Always helpful, we are glad to be able to stay connected with Bun and heartened to know that he is continuously making effort to improve the living conditions of his fellow countrymen.

We booked Mr. Jet from a referral and were thrilled with our day with him. Not only is he incredibly knowledgable, but he clearly cares for his clients and strives for his customers best experience, he even makes sure you are at the right spot for the perfect photo at every destination. We weren't sure how many temples we wanted to visit and he was happy to tailor our day to our needs, especially since the heat was more excruciating than expected (and this was in the colder season). He also encouraged to ask as many questions as we wanted, no topic was off limit so we learned as much about the people of siem reap as we did the temples.

Mr. Jet is truly a joy to be around. He has a very unique happy and fun personality that made our trip incredibly memorable.

A friend who is visiting Siem Reap very soon was asking me for recommendations, based on my March visit this year.
This naturally made me think back to the highlight of my visit which was "Angkor Wat." I was lucky enough to have an extremely knowledgeable, interesting Tour Guide, Son Sorn who I thoroughly recommend. He was so helpful and friendly. Definitely a "5 star" guide who I would always try to use again.

We visited Siem Reap and had Bun as our guide. His knowledge and expertise in showing us the wonderful temples and culture of the area was outstanding. We can thoroughly recommend him to anyone who wants to feel the REAL Siem Reap! We enjoyed our 6 days with him.

Dear Fellow Travelers:

My girlfriend and I just did a two day tour with Bun and it could not have been better. We don’t usually post reviews but we highly recommend him as a guide to others.

We flew into Siem Reap for two days and worked out a customized tour with Bun beforehand. He met us at the airport in a new SUV (with AC), and we went straight from the airport to the temples where he showed us the highlights. Memorable sights you will never forget. The following morning, Bun picked us up early and we went to see the floating villages at Tonle Sap. Again, some of the best sights of our trip.

We have Trip Advisor to thank as we first came across his details here and read all the positive reviews (here they are again: norakbun88@gmail.com; cell: (855) 12 372 208). Very knowledgeable, licensed guide, nice guy, and flexible to your schedule.

Bonus is his charity: we wanted to donate money to a worthy cause while in Cambodia and came across Bun’s (http://wellsforcambodia.com) through him. He grew up in a poor village and had to carry water long distances himself so his charity provides freshwater wells for poor villages. Great idea -- we donated a well, quite reasonable and helps about 100 poor villagers.

Cheers to Bun!

We booked a full day with Mr Jet. Aside from Angkor Wat, we didn't have a firm itinerary- Mr Jet helped to recommend 3 additional temples including Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm (Tomb Raider, which was our favorite) with a quick stop at the Landmine Museum.

Mr Jet is an excellent guide with a strong command of English. More importantly for us he is full of personality and is really funny- his jokes and humor kept us smiling throughout the day even in the intense 95 degree heat. We also learned a lot about Khmer culture, and Mr Jet encouraged us to ask whatever we wanted to know. Also agree with other reviewers that Mr Jet has a great eye for photography/lighting/angles, so he will help you get the money shots!

Additionally the rate for the day was very competitive- The rate included the guide, driver, and air conditioned car, and the price was HALF what our hotel was quoting.

** Make sure to contact and arrange bookings in advance, we wanted to book more time with Mr Jet and he was busy!

*Another thing- bring water and be sure to wear modest clothing (for females, must cover the knees and no bare tops) so you can enter all areas of the temple.

We booked 3 days of touring with Jet & Alex (driver) in Siem Reap. This was our first time visiting Cambodia, therefore we did not know what to expect. However, Jet and Alex were extremely professional, always on catered to every single need we had. Were extremely flexible, plus their knowledge of the region, history and fascinating folk stories made our experience with them unforgettable. We would highly recommend this fantastic team of tour guides if you are visiting Cambodia for the first time. Jet & Alex took us to less crowded places and at the time before the peak of tourists hit the locations, so we can enjoy peacefulness of the temples. Plus we learned so much about fascinating and beautiful culture of Khmer people. Plus their great sense of humor made our trip even more pleasant. Thank you Jet & Alex!

We went to Siem Reap for the first time to learn about the historical culture of Cambodia. Our tour of Angkor was an outstanding success, due to the high competence and personal qualities of our guide Jet. He was fluent, knowledgeable, courteous throughout the 2 days that we spent sharing his enthusiasm for his homeland's culture, social history and aspirations for the future. We learned about his own journey as a father, professional and citizen and were deeply moved by his story and strength in contributing to make a better life for future generations. By signing up for one of his tours you will undoubtedly learn a lot about Cambodian life and in the process have the privilege of encountering a man of immense integrity and determination. We certainly thank him for our visit and hope you will book a tour with him.
