Unlike many retail establishments in the city this was a low pressure selling environment and the stalls appeared to sell high quality genuinely made local products. We purchased some silver earrings for our daughters - not cheap but hopefully worth the extra cost.Thank so much for supporting our small community market.Written February 3, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 4, 2024

We purchased a couple of drawings from Kong So Phanit Painting shop where the art work was from a young local lad who started painting at 12 to help support his and his sister’s education. Yes, more expensive than other places but you know every dollar you spend is making a difference. We gad such a good experience walking round this market chatting to the stall holders and making a few purchases. Most have credit card facilities btw. Some very inspiring artists and crafters like the artist we bought from who paints with his stumps after losing his hands to a landmine.Dear, Thank you so much for supporting our small community market in Siem Reap, hope you enjoy Siem Reap too.Written April 8, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 1, 2024

Not a big place or cheap and not easy to haggle either but happy with the prices paid for the items purchased. Definitely recommend visiting. Grab a tuk tuk and ask the driver to wait for you whilst there. Expect to spend no more than an hour here. - earthbound1974Singapore, Singapore111 contributionsBest Place for Shopping in Cambodia! This is THE market to come for souvenirs in Siem Reap. Here you get good quality items compared to the other markets and most importantly, you know the items are ALL produced in Cambodia. You get to meet some of the artists themselves, see which village/province the items come from and who are the makers of the products. The souvenirs here are not necessary more expensive than the other markets (did a price check in the Old Market for similar items) but significantly cheaper than the main shops. Some examples of produce you can find here are scarves (silk or cotton), bags/clutches, coffee/tea, spices, alcohol, jams, painting, jewellery, candles, clothes, honey and etc. Highly recommend this place and great way to support the local community!Dear, Best thanks for your reviews about our small community market in Siem Reap.Written August 11, 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited July 2024Traveled soloWritten July 3, 2024
- allynzAuckland Central, New Zealand230 contributionsBest market in Siem Reap for authentic, quality momentos and gifts. This is a must for anyone looking for gifts or souvenirs or something special to take home from Cambodia. If you have visited previously like us you will find it in a new location - they moved from beside the Hard Rock Cafe nearly 3 years ago. Beautiful hand crafted items you won’t see in any other market. And whilst they would love your custom the sales pitch isn’t as strong here. The stall holders are often the creators/makers and can tell you all about their products. It’s not as cheap as the other markets, for good reason. Some negotiation is possible but the pricing is more fixed.Dear, THANK You So so much for your review our small community market! Fantastic! High quality products from Cambodia ( not made in China) ,
And still very inexpensive. This is responsible tourism and such an easy choice. Beautifully displayedwith vendors who are friendly and won’t rush you into buying, but give you time to make your choice! I bought several high quality products last year, that will last me a life-time!

This small market was fine. The people in the various booths were quite lovely and happy to see us. The products were fine, but not all were handmade. They did not negotiate on price at all, which I understood, and I felt the prices were fair. I was disappointed that the market was quite small. We went back into town and saw some of the same exact products. 🙄

Yes, you can find some products at other market and you will not confident to purchase it.
We are doing different from other market by each stall selling different products. This market about building from small businesses. We started from 0 to be much better now, because of your value customer and value of you purchasing.
You would see what will develop our vendors...step by step...
Best thanks for review your experience of our market.

What a wonderful market. We went on our last day in Cambodia after spending the first couple days exploring temples and were SO happy we came. The work is exceptionally high quality and the stories of the artisans is very touching. We left with a lot of great items and strongly recommend visiting on your trip

We visited 3 times across our stay in Siem Reap. Very friendly and no-pressure stall holders - each with an interesting story behind their goods.
We really enjoyed the ice cream (try the Palm flavour), bought a lovely bag which will be used for school, and we commissioned the artists there to draw a painting from one of our family pictures whilst visiting the temples.
Small but very interesting and worth a visit.

I first stumbled across this pearl of a market in Siem Reap last year 2022 very near where we stayed at the Samadivi resort & spa. It's a small market which I found to be a pleasure not feeling overwhelmed by venders selling similar items as in the large Phsar Leu Thom Tmey or Night Market. After telling my husband about it we both visited the market often. We are both artists and appreciate the work that is put into their craft items.
Handmade items included original paintings, unique jewelry, clothes, recycled bags, and more.
The vendors/artists were friendly and would take time to engage in conversation even with some having a limited understanding of English, but the vendors always helped each other out to translate.
A place of beautiful people no to be forgotten. We will return this coming October 2023.

Can I use credit card to pay in this market ?
Written June 22, 2019
Good afternoon,
There are some stalls are available to take the credit cards, but some of them are not. By the ways, there is a ATM at the edge of our market.

Hi sandy. We are heading to Cambodia on Sunday and planning on buying things there rather than pack. What kind of prices are items typically sold for? Would make it easier to budget and pack. The shop looks exactly the kind of shop we like. Thanks, leah

Dear Leah,
Thanks for your interesting our small community market.
I would like to let you know that there are many handicrafts to buy, and the price start from 1$ to 300$. There is an ATM at the front of Market, street 27, the main entrance.
There is free traditional dance show every Saturday from 6 - 7pm.
We wish you visit us.

Written March 25, 2017
There are a lot of shops around. I actually did not look for antique furniture. But it's in a shopping area. Just ask around when you are there. One day is really not enough to see all shops.
