chanced upon this nice shop in the old market while browsing for souvenirs/handicrafts. the shop showcases work done by members of the kamonohashi project. i noticed that the designs offered in the shop are different from those available in other shops in the market, so it is not just more-of-the-same. you can pick up straw slippers, book/folder covers, and such products. the staff were gracious and helped with choosing souvenirs, trying for size, etc. please consider stopping by and take a look - you would be helping out with a meaningful project.

There are so many cute and perfect products for a souvenir. It’s a bit more expensive than the products sold in other souvenir shops but definitely worth the price!

On a previous visit i purchased a diary from Kamonohashi. On my return to Australia I had so many comments that on my next visit I looked everywhere in Phnom Penh and discovered they have two outlets in Sieam Reap (products made here) and only sell thru a hotel in PP. I bought the Phnom Penh Hotel gift shop out of 14 Diaries for friends.

Great group producoing lovely items.

Have a quick look.
they are on the outside of the market facing the water on the end furthers from pub street

Every products is very colorful, attractive, I wAnt to buy something there which ended up I didn't, because I don't think there is a product is functional for me. Still, it's very attractive and not like other common shops selling the same things.

Why not buy souvenirs that help local people rather than another crappy tshirt from Vietnam or Thailand
These guys make great notebooks, mats and a vast array of items all produced locally
