Prasat Bat Chum is a temple that was constructed in the 10th century. Surprisingly, it was built as a Buddhist temple when Hinduism was still the dominant religion at that time. The temple is seldom visited by tourists as it is a bit off the beaten path. However, it is a beautiful place to visit, especially in the late afternoon.

Prasat bat chum is currently under serious renovation and restauration so there is no point in going there unless you need to kill time and want to be very thorough.

These ruins are completely off the beaten track and are nothing spectacular. If you want to cycle a scenic route from Prasat Kravan to the quiet area in Sra Srang then feel free to pass by. This cycle was the quietest time we have had in our stay in Siem Reap.

Even if you stay at Siam Reap for more than one week, I'd say to skip this Temple.
There are probably hundreds more interesting and beautiful than this one.
Only but really only if you pass by it on your bike or with your tuktuk, and if the weather is friendly, then only may be you could consider stopping there.

Bat Chum temple is a small and rarely visited temple. Bat Chum was built by Kavindrarimathana, a learned Buddhist minister of khmer king Rajendravarman, at the middle of the 10th century.
It consists of three inline brick towers (in poor conditions at present), standing on the same platform, surrounded by an enclosure and a moat, with a single gopura located to the east. It is located south of the lake of Srah Srang. To visit only if you have the time

Currently under restoration, visit only if you have the time. Three small brick towers are what remains. Bat Chum is a Buddhist temple. It is situated between Pre Rup and Srah Srang.
