Being of a certain age, I would not have made the whole tour and climb up all the steps of most of the temples without Tom (our guide)'s good professional advices and above all his kindness. Every little details for our well being has being offered (cool bottles of water and towels, etc) the minivan was clean, with air-conditioning all set for our return (just perfect after few hours under 33°C°), Jok (the driver) made sure it was set for each of our return in the minivan. The temples were amazing from dawn , to dusk. especially when it was nicely explained. We shall return to visit the ones we missed... hopefully with the same team !…

My family and I had an amazing time visiting the plethora of temples in the Siem Reap region! Find summarised the peaks and troughs of our trip with 'Siem Reap Private Day Tours'. HIGHLIGHTS: - The temples (duh). I would recommend Angkor Wat, Angkor Tom, Banteay Srey, Beng Mealea, Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon. - Remember this name: Tom, our tour guide, was a close second to the temples. He made sure to take us away from the crowds whilst still allowing us to see all the key places. He is a witty kind of funny and kept things interesting by asking us questions about the monuments and letting us guess before giving us the correct answer. These are only two of the many great things about Tom will do for you. DOWNSIDES: - On hindsight, we should have opted for a 3-day tour as, even though our two days were full (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the first day and 4:00 AM to 6:30 PM on the second day), we ended up missing a number of smaller temples. Bearing in mind that this was probably due to our group spending more time than scheduled looking around and having lunch. - Not necessarily a downside but be prepared for a lot of walking.…

Our tour of the Angkor temples was amazing thanks to our incredibly knowledgeable tour guide Tom, who knew every single detail there was to know about the temples and even more as he never failed to answer our questions, almost as if he built them himself. Him and his incredible driver Jok who who got us there safely and quickly with a great sense of humour. You won’t regret asking for them.…

Given that the world may be ending with the outbreak of the dreaded coronavirus we took our chances when in Cambodia to venture north and visit the incredible Angkor Temples, we met our guide Tom and driver Mr Jok, bright and early at our hotel after a short briefing and exchange of greetings we knew we were in safe hands! Venturing onto the Cambodia roads Mr Jok skillfully navigated the tuk tuk's, motorbikes and slower minibuses with ease getting us to our temple stops quickly, safely and in the cool (AC was on point every time along with cold water and towelets). With our guide Tom every temple was a new discovery from the size and splendor of Angkor Wat all the way down to the increadible stories carved into the stonework of Bantery Srei! His natural passion for guiding and the history of the Angkor region is infectious and you can't help but get caught up in wanting to know more and more about each stop. On our second day we had a 4am start to see the sunrise over Angkor Wats central temple, with Tom's knowledge we had a great spot away from the crowds and yet still a great place for photos and views, moving on we visited many temples that day and didn't get back to our hotel untill gone 6.30 that evening yet Tom's enthusiasm didn't wane all day even when ours was as tired was crept in! I couldn't recommend this tour enough many other companies and guides can learn from Tom and Mr Jok and the right way things should be done. Would certainly recommend and use again if revisiting temples we missed!…
