Recently did a 19 day tour with Sambath and can easily say he’s the best tour guide we’ve ever had. Very knowledgeable about his country and its history as well as being very caring towards everyone and making it fun throughout. Not just my opinion, everyone in our group felt the same. I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed with any tour Sambath is involved in.

I can only give an EXCELLENT feedback on the services provided by BAYON GUIDES during our trip to SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA on January 23-25, 2012. I came across Bayon Guides by reading reviews in Trip Advisor. I emailed to inquire, and Sam, the tour coordinator, always makes prompt, updated, honest replies on my questions and requests. Without hesitation he makes adjustments on my itinerary given our limited time. And he doesn’t ask for any downpayment. Our appointed guide, Sophead, has the charm, wit, knowledge, great command of the English language, and the humor to make our trip so beautiful. No words can completely describe how magnificent Angkor as a whole is – the temples, the ruins, the hills, the night market, the old market, the FOOD, our hotel Casa Angkor – are so superb that I wanna go back to Siem Reap soon. Sopheap make us taste and enjoy food from the countryside, was honest and frank about telling what silver is genuine or not, what ruby is real and mostly are fake. He and his driver can we trusted as we left in the Camry our luggage (which we don’t usually do at all!) while my husband and I take the final chance to take crocodile and snake meat in the local resto. One morning my husband also wanted to tasted some "cricket" insect for breakfast, the guide knows who sells them. What a treat! Because we had extra time before our flight, we were brought to other nearby interesting site like the Artisans d Angkor which to me is very significant stop to learn how they do stone carving, silk painting, etc. it is very advisable to get this private tour. Sam even made extra effort to get for free cook book and cooking ingredients which my husband Chef was longing for. I cannot ask for anything more.

Our visit to Siem Reap last September was truly memorable. My sister and I were fortunate to have Sambath Meas as our guide :) He knew what we wanted to see and gave us good tips to take some great photos. Sambath is very knowledgeable about his country's history and good thing he didnt quiz us on the end because we're not sure we remembered all the names and dates mentioned =) Cambodia is rich is history and is one of the most beautiful places we've visited, the service Sambath Meas gave us was great, our trip was comfortable at best as we had a private car and driver as well to drive as around the temples. I highly recommend Sambath Meas to be your guide, if given the chance to go back to Cambodia, we will certainly ask for him again :)

We took a morning countryside tour with Oum and it was lovely. Since it was December it wasn't too hot so a jeep was fine, not sure about summer haha. My personal favorite was the golden/green rice fields. Stunningly beautiful. Oum was a lovely guide, always cracking jokes lol. And the restaurant we went to for lunch was delicious!
Just to note- it was dusty when we went so bring a face mask/khmer scarf or something to cover your mouth. Since this is the countryside in cambodia virtually none of the roads are paved meaning it gets CRAZY BUMPY. I would strongly avoid if you have a bad back or are pregnant. I'm young and spry so I was fine.

This is the tour to be on if you are looking for something different and eye opening. Mork was my guide who was extremely friendly and accommodating as I was getting over food poisoning and was a bit slow on the short walking stints. Mork's English was also the best of any guide I have had during my trips in South East Asia, he was able to answer many of my questions that would have tended to be "off script". The places we stopped were all different but well chosen to help give a rounded view of life in Cambodia and Mork gave a detailed explanation of each. The road is a bit bumpy but Mork takes his time to avoid the larger bumps and give you the smoothest trip. This is a must do if you are in Siem Reap

Mork (MOUNG Thoul) was our guide, he was open and engaging. We exchanged a lot during our trip. He helped us understand more about Cambodia, what it is like today for the people. The impact of tourism, the benefits. It was a really enlightening afternoon with a warm and generous guide. He was attentive to our needs and interested in our motivations too. Even though it rained all afternoon we still felt we had a great experience. Thanks Mork

Angkor Wat is a magical mystical place to explore and i am grateful I had MORK to help me
Navigate what is an overwhelming place— particularly in the sweltering heat.
To add to it riding in a JEEP while not necessary as you are mostly walking, added to the fun! From the moment I met MORK and Driver Mr. Rith, I was completely taken care of. MORK even held my bag for me and took care that i was comfortable at every twist and turn.! He also was my personal Instagram photographer.and we had fun staging some fabulous photos.
MORK has a big kind heart and he is very passionate about his job!
