But you must negotiate well. lot of scope there😉. Lot of restaurant and street food stops as well. But for Vegetarian people, i must say, please carry you RTE packets. there are Indian restaurants , but limited preparation.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 4, 2024
- Fulvio FulvioMelbourne, Australia79 contributionsSiem Reap holidayPlenty of shops for eating and shopping or just enjoy the decorations, music and light. The area in pub street and around a bit overprices for eating, recommend to eat before entry in that street, get better and cheaper food to be honest. Many places does happy hours as well, usually from 6 pm. For shopping they always charge more than double price. For example a t shirt they start with 10$ until I payed for 2$. Magnet they said 1 for 1$, easy you can get 3 for that price and so on. Many things to try too during your visit, like massage, fish massage, ice cream made in front of you and others interesting things.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 9, 2024

One side of it is open during the day and night market is on the other side of the river. They all pretty much sell the same stuff. I was hoping that some people would have unique things but no. I actually think the souvenir shops by the temples have better bargaining deals. Some of the shops out there dont get a lot of shoppers and so they are more desperete to sellVisited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 22, 2024
- SavannahCarmichael, California50 contributionsFun evening thing to doThe night market is definitely a fun place to try out street food, see the vendor crafts, and just kind of explore. The city definitely felt very safe for 2 ladies at night to walk about, and we never felt like we couldn't navigate our way either. Food all over the place was delicious, the music was lively, and definitely a must see for something to do in the evening when you are in town.Visited January 2024Traveled with friendsWritten June 1, 2024
- John SDurham, North Carolina1,190 contributionsSiem Reap Night Market - Food, Shopping, FunDuring our trip to Cambodia, exploring the Siem Reap Night Market was a highlight. This bustling market, located in the heart of the city, offered a vibrant mix of culture, unique crafts, and delicious street food. As evening fell, we were drawn into its lively atmosphere, with rows of stalls selling everything from handmade crafts to trendy clothing. We spent hours browsing, discovering beautiful silk scarves and intricately carved wooden statues. Bargaining with the friendly vendors added a fun, cultural element to the experience. The market's street food was a culinary adventure. We sampled local delicacies like nom banh chok, a traditional Cambodian noodle dish, and indulged in rolled ice cream for dessert. Beyond shopping and eating, we enjoyed watching local artisans at work and performances of traditional Cambodian music and dance, which added to the festive atmosphere. Visiting the Siem Reap Night Market was an unforgettable experience that enriched our trip to Cambodia. Its lively vibe, unique shopping, and delicious food make it an entertaining destination if you are visiting Siem Reap.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten August 16, 2024

Everything you would expect from a night market. Souvenirs, food, clothing, locally made items and some really nice well made hand made items. Something for everyone. If you walk thru and look over the products offered for sale (of course if you want to take the time to do it with everything else to do, it is tiring), you might find something worthwhile taking home. Otherwise, it is a stroll thru the streets.

What would a trip to Asia be without a night market. A great place to visit for bargains, street food and souvenirs. Down by the river and about 10 minutes walk from Pub Street, no visit to Siem Reap is complete with visiting the markets.

If you want to buy local product, please come to the Night Market. It is open fr morning 10am to 9pm. Some shop close even after 10pm.
Great bargain & I mean you hve to bargain down the prices. There are a few stores selling bags made with recycled cement bags, fish sauce bag. These r livelihood for the women in the villages. I wld recommend you check them out.
Near the Nght Market, there are many hawkers in the night that sell cheap local food. Prices are much cheaper than cafe & restaurants. And you can enjoyed the local culture.

Both Vietnam and Cambodia are know for their markets rather than more Western style shops. In the main, these are geared to locals and sell clothes and household items. Any souvenirs they have are - too me - just tat. However...
...not this market! This was by far the best one I went to on my trip. A large area with a mix of stalls and larger, walk in shop areas. Yes, there was still an emphasis on clothing but you could also find quality art pieces, woven goods, garden ornaments and small sculptures, nice notebooks and other such souvenirs. Some traders had the same things but if you keep looking you can find some unique stuff not seen for sale at the actual temple sites.
Bargaining is expected so be prepared to offer half the first price given!
Note also that there are more shops and eateries across the bridges which are nicely illuminated at night.
As I walked down to the market the main street also has Burger King, KFC and some high end shops not really seen anywhere else in Cambodia.
