My friend and I had a lovely time, from Feb 11 - 17, 2025, in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We hired Tuk Tuk driver, Mr. Smarty for the week. He picked us up at the airport and delivered us to our hotel. He is puncture, polite, and showed us the historical sights and landmarks of the City.
The highlights of our tour included the sunrise at Angkor Wat, sunset at Bakong Temple, local cruisine at the floating fishing village, rode the bamboo train, and witnessed thousands of bats flying out of a cave at Battambang.
We learned how rice paper was made, drank the sweetest natural juice of coconuts, ate the yummiest fried pork spring rolls.
It was indeed a memorable trip and bucket list checked.
Mr. Smarty's fee is very reasonable, itinerary is flexible and catered to his customers. We would highly recommend his service.

If you need an experienced, smiley, well organised tour guide, Mr Smarty is the man! My boyfriend and I were recommended Mr Smarty from somebody we had met on our travels. Mr Smarty was a great communicator from day one and spoke with good English. He provided a tailored service where we did 2 days of temple touring- the difference being he knew exactly which temple to go to and at what time to avoid the crowds. He provided iced water and cold towels to cope with the 38 degree C heat we had during our visit. On the 3rd day we went to the floating village which happened to be Mr Smarty’s home town and slightly further away to avoid crowds. Local stops on the way to sample palm sugar cakes made it all the more local and personalised. Highly recommend anyone to book with Mr Smarty!

We are grateful to have Mr. Smarty looking after us for a week in Cambodia.
We visited many temples and attractions around Siem Reap and Battambang. We spent a full day at Angkor Wat including the spectacular sunrise. Mr. Smarty is friendly, attentive, gentle, and observant, looking after our needs and every tiny detail of our group. He was always on time and waited for us at the hotel every morning. Cold water was always readily available in his cooler, plus cool wet towels for our hands and faces - a nice touch.
Mr. Smarty is flexible with his planned activities, very generous, and willing to give us extra time to explore, which could be a very long day for him.
I personally highly recommend Mr. Smarty as our Tuk Tuk driver with superior services guiding us around the area.

We were recommended Mr Smarty from someone we met on our travels in Vietnam, very lucky for us as he was brilliant! My girlfriend and I booked him for three days to tour the temples around Angkor Wat. Mr Smarty is an excellent driver and guide, very experienced- he was able to take us to the best temples at the best times for fewer crowds and a unique experience. His English is excellent, he is a good communicator who replies quickly on WhatsApp and listens to what you want to do and tailors the tour according to your wishes. We also visited the floating village Kompong Khleang which was amazing! Along the way to the different temples, we also had the opportunity to eat local food which was delicious. We would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful couple of days with Mr Smarty. He took us to Angkor Wat the first day and we went to several temples and it was quite exhilarating travelling in the tuk tuk as the complex is so huge. He provided us with ice cold water and cold towels which was a really thoughtful touch. He accompanied us into the temples and was extremely informative and interesting and had a really good sense of humour. He completely put us at our ease as he was so friendly. He is also a very good photographer and took lots of very good photos of us against the background of the temples . The following day we visited some more temples and he somehow managed to time our visits so that we managed to avoid the crowds. At times it felt like we had the temples all to ourselves which was lovely. We finished off with a tour of Siem Reap, which we had requested . We were privileged to meet his lovely family who made us feel so welcome. The kindness we were shown made our visit to Cambodia very, very special . We have such lovely memories and we will return. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Smarty to anyone wishing to explore Cambodia.

My husband and I did the sun rise tour of Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Prohm temples with Mr. Smarty and I can not recommend him enough to others!
He picked us up at 4.45a.m exactly from our hotel and was with us through the whole trip. He is well familiar with the area, speaks English and most of all patient and fun! (Had to find us a few times when one of us wandered off and got lost).
10/10 recommends him!

Mr Smarty was superb from start to finish. His communication via WhatsApp was clear and useful. He arrived early to collect us for our sunrise tour and met us with a smile at 5am. Throughout our day he was informative and engaging, he was also a dab hand at photography taking a few great shots of us.
I would 100% recommend him for a tour and I wish him and his family well for their future in beautiful Cambodia.

Smarty was recommended to us by friends, and it was really easy to reach out to him. He was available by WhatsApp and always responded promptly. We only had five days in total in Cambodia, and Smarty helped us organize an itinerary which would help us see as much of that lovely country as we could in that short amount of time. So we spent three nights in Siem Reap, one night in Battambang, and then returned to Siem Reap for our last night. The King of Cambodia was also visiting Siem Reap during the time we were there! On top of that, we were also able to visit Angkor Wat for sunrise to catch the Spring Equinox!! We visited several of the temples, including my favourite-Ta Prohm. We also went to a Cambodian circus, Cambodian folk dancing show, the sunset at Tonle Sap & the villages on stilts, the killing fields, the bats at sunset, lots of temples and even the land mine hero rats! It was a great trip giving us a good overview of the country for the short time we were there. Smarty was helpful, always punctual and very entertaining. I would highly recommend him.

Used Mr. Smarty for 4 days Jan. 25 - 29 for several tours for 5 people in Siem Reap area. You will not find a better guide. He looks after all guide things and other things beyond (example - he stayed at our hotel check-in to ensure there were no problems, changed itinerary on short notice to better fit needs due to heat, etc...). Goes well and beyond any guide expectations. Wish I could give him 10 stars!!!

We booked a half-day tour to a floating village with Mr. Smarty and ended up traveling 2 full days with him ;)
First of all, Mr. Smarty is extremely knowledgeable about many aspects of Cambodia and a good story teller. We learned a lot in those 2 days. Furthermore, he has very good suggestions which places to visit (and how to avoid the crowd). Thereby, we experienced a floating village, temples further away, a land mine museum and a cultural religious event all in two days without being in a rush.
Those two days were definitely the highlight of our Cambodia trip and I can recommend Mr. Smarty to everyone that is eager to learn more about the country and wants to visit interesting places!
