Amazing social profit restaurant that trains disadvantaged youth in all aspects of hospitality management. This is an example of a “hands up” not a “ hands out” bravo to this organization. Awesome customer service, outstanding food and presentation and unbelievable ambience- thank you

Took the Angkor Experience Tour with Vantha and it was a great experience!
Vantha was both well organized and very knowledgeable about the temples. As a big archealogy fan I appreciated all the profound comments he made on the sites.
What's more the lunch was absolutely delicious, the vehicle really good, super friendly driver.
Vantha also provided us with great tips for sunrise spots. Thank you!

I had a few days of sightseeing in Siem Reap and did the Intrepid Urban Adventure - Tonle Sap Secrets. It was a 4 hour trip with a local guide. It included pick up from my hotel, transfer to the lake, a private boat, viewing the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake, a stop at a floating market, return to the hotel with a stop for some local snacks. The trip was well paced with plenty of time to take in the spectacle. Tonle Sap lake has mobile fishing villages that move as the water level rises and falls and the way these communities live is fascinating. There are floating duck farms, floating playgrounds, schools and of course homes. Our guide made sense of it all and was fabulous at explaining how these communities survive & the issues threatening them. I definitely recommend this trip if you have a half day in Siem Reap and you are temple'd' out.

Booked the evening street food tour in Siem Reap. Was excited to sample at least several different "snacks" as the website says, before heading to the final dinner. But we only stopped at one place to try a bowl of noodles, a fruit market, and then went to dinner at a local restaurant that wasn't even full of local people - in fact, it was empty. A food tour is not truly a "food tour" with just 2 stops before the main dinner.
I think the tour was pretty unorganized and there should have been more sampling of snacks like the banana pancakes, street buns, and other culinary delights you always read about.
It seemed like the guide was just winging it - definitely not worth 50SG per person (equivalent to about $40USD). At one point we stopped at a night street market, got off the tuk tuks (thinking we were going to sample some of the local bites) but as soon as we got off, the guide basically hurried through the street ahead of the group, only stopping briefly when some of us stopped to take a closer look at the tartantulas, crickets, and other bugs.
This tour was a disappointment.

We participated in both the Angkor Wat and surrounding sites tour and the Tonle Sap adventure...we greatly enjoyed both tours and found the Siem Reap Urban Adventures guides fantastic. Very knowledgeable and really quite tireless as well :)! We very much appreciated that we approached the Angkor Wat tour by coming in from the back entrance and moving through it in the absence of the main crowds. Our guide ensured that we visited the various sites at times he knew would be less busy with the bus loads of tourists that come through. Our guide was also honest in appraisals of which people we should give donations or buy something from. The Tonle Sap tour was great as well, very much enjoyed seeing how everyday Cambodians live and make a living as well as the great changing lake that is Tonle Sap -- quite interesting natural history. Siem Reap Urban Adventures were great and we highly recommend them. We know that we will not hesitate to book with them in other places if this is the quality of their staff and local knowledge!

I was in Siem Reap for two days with a friend in December 2010 and we did the Angkor Wat tour and the floating village the following day.
I can't stress enough how happy I am about these tours, we had a local tour guide, Mr Chino just for ourselves for the whole two days. He was great and really made us feel welcome and showed us all the best things to see, which we wouldn't otherwise been able to do considering how difficult to navigate Cambodia can be when you first arrive.
We were so happy that we decide to do a third tour here in Phnom Penh. Considering the money you are paying, you get the local knowledge, transport, lunch, it was so worth it.
Highly Recommended

I was recommended by a friend to join in an urban adventure trip called "Tonle Sap Secret". It was a good tour for me, because I can experience the local life of the people living over there. I like the transportation, which was a Romork or u can say Tuk Tuk. It's was very interesting, while traveling along the road. it was a good experience for me to involve in this activity. Surprisingly, you can see the many stilted houses flowing on the water.
This is a great tour I would recommend to everyone to try. Good job Urban Adventure, looking forward to traveling with you on my next trip.

I loved the fact that it felt very authentic and local but i there was a few issues, I felt we spent almost the whole morning in a tuk tuk, the only time we had someone talking to us as a guide was in the market and on the boat but we couldn't hear him on the boat so missed everything he said, spent a while at some shopping pontoon which i didnt expect and then didnt visit the Buddhist monastery or local village as per the itinerary, was pretty disappointed

This is a great tour, you get taken to a local market and eat from local street vendors/carts. You can really try what the locals eat as snacks from insects, gizzards, liver, frog and try the local wine. The grilled beef i had was the one of the best i've ever eaten. Our guide was Chansip and he was very friendly and knowledgeable sharing lots of information about Siem Reap and local food. Our tuk tuk driver took us to one of the wrong stops at one point so we were about 10 minutes behind the group and the food had been finished but upon asking Chansip he was more then happy to get us more servings. The last dinner stop also was a little bit of a disappointment, it didn't feel that local and the lac loc i had was only ok even though it was recommended. However, one of the meals another person had was delicious. But they are only minor complaints, overall it was a very good tour.

Great visit to the temples...Intrepid Travel/Urban Adventures are a reliable, fun and safe option for traveling the world, have done their tours in other cities. Siem Reap/Angkor Wat was no exception. Our guide, Vanny, was terrific. Note of caution to travelers though: we went in December and place was packed. Angkor Wat stretches for miles...there's lots more to see and experience but if you're strapped for time, your short visit at this time of year will be chaotic.

I went last year and I'm pretty sure they just asked me what time I wanted to do it. I went from about 9:30- 12:30. I ended up buying a box of 2 minute noodles and giving them to the kids off my quad bike. It was lots of fun, but the 2 minute noodles weren't very cheap. Was worth it though. I guide was great and went at my pace, we did a practise run before being out on the road to get to the best places. Really worth it. They will cater to what you want to do.
