I went with my significant other and the garden was simply beautiful with so many different butterflies. They even gave us a guide to walk us around the centre for free. The guide knew english and answered all of our questions. Definitely worth a visit if you're driving by.

We did this visit between two temple visits, which was good for the children! Here you can see the cycle from egg to caterpillar to cocoon and finally the butterfly. Entrance fee is not the cheapest ($5 adult/$2 kids) but you get a free guided tour which was very interesting. The kids could release some newly hatched butterflies and release... More

This is a great place. It was wonderful to see lots of types of tropical butterflies. There are lots of cool caterpillars and chrysalises to see as well. The best part, however was the amazing people who will show you around and tell you all about the butterflies and caterpillars. Talk to Phem if you can. He is super smart... More

We came as an pleasant break after the landmine museum. For $8 we had lunch, a drink and entry. There are other options. Lunch was great with plenty of choices. The enclosure has a huge number of butterflies. Farming the caterpillars is supporting the local farming economy and I was surprised to learn the ecological part butterflies play. Inside was... We stopped here on the way back from visiting one of the temple ruins. It is a small fee to enter. Our guide was so animated and excited, full of knowledge and enthuiastic about what he does. It is a large netted area, beautifully landscaped and full of many types of butterflies. They also show you the eggs, larvae, and... More

God for kids as the lunch stop after the bateay srey temple visit. Their is a simple onsite cafe serving basic lunches and took us about 30 minutes in the enclsoure where a free guided tour in good english explained lots about local butterflies and their lifecycle. Visiting here also spreads some of the tourist wealth out into the countryside.

We stopped by the Butterfly Centre on the way to Banteay Srei. Located almost half way on a long drive the to temple, it provided a few minutes of relief to learn about something that is interesting, fascinating, new and different. Look, we would never have visited the Centre by itself, however its location lends itself to stopping by to... More

What a great place! Child-sized, but fascinating, with butterflies up close in their natural habitat. The best part is the charming volunteer guide (tips appreciated) who speaks fine English. Self-taught, but broadly knowledgeable, brimming with infectious passion and deep love for his charges. Really, this man could hold his own with any professional entomologist. My husband, not a big nature... More

This is a small, local venture, and we were delighted to support the enterprise. Butterflies were wafting throughout, and we were given an in depth overview of the life cycle of butterflies and moths. Some of the moths were simply amazing in size and color.

This was a surprisingly delightful break from all the temples and ruins were had been visiting over the last 36 hours. The NGO provides a personalized tour by one of the staff for your visit and walks you through the sanctuary, explaining and showing you the life cycle of butterflies. Another highlight was the giant stick insects - so cool!
