    Unexpected delight!
We hadn’t planned to visit the butterfly centre having been distinctly underwhelmed by such centres in the past. However, we were passing on the way back from the landmine museum and our tuc tuc driver offered us the opportunity to stop. So glad we did!! The garden is simply beautiful. We had a tour and our guide took the time to show us all different parts of the life cycle with excellent English and superb knowledge and enthusiasm. He even used a microscope feature on his phone to show us eggs and wing patterns. We highly recommend a visit!

Lovely little gem on the way to the Banteay Srey temple. Our guide described with passion and delight every butterfly species, and their life cycle. Truly recommended quick stop before or after the temple!

    Fun and informative
Our driver suggested that we may enjoy a trip to the butterfly centre whilst we were visiting temples in the area. This really proved to be a very worthwhile stop and the guide was really informative, knowledgeable and interesting. It may not be the first thing on your to do list whilst in Siem Reap but they are doing some great work and your $6 would really help. Would heavily recommend

Interesting center with a varying number of lovely butterflies in a lovely garden
This is a small center where you can learn a lot about butterfly life cycles and the techniques being used to ensure their conservation. The small and very pleasant garden supports a number of different butterfly species, but whether (which) you see will depend on the season - I saw two gorgeous species. For me, stopping at the center (about 45", including the tour) was worth it.

    Beautiful butterflies
The butterfly farm is worth a visit. Our guide Phem was very knowledgeable and the butterflies were beautiful in a natural setting. Our visit took about 30 mins and is a great stop off on the way back to Siem Reap from the ACCB animal sanctuary or walk at Kbal Spean. Well worth the $6 entrance fee.

    Natures Delicate Beauties
I've been to Siem Reap several times and just discovered this Butterfly Centre while returning from Angkor Wat. This is a lovely venue that gets high marks. It is a relatively small place but packed with interesting exhibits. You begin by strolling through a small garden area with plentiful butterflies that are unique to the region. Then you see how they collect butterfly eggs and breed the butterflies throughout the developmental process. If you are a nature lover, you will learn plenty. This place also has programs where they teach local students about butterflies. They also have programs where local individuals and families can become involved in their efforts. They even provide/sell butterfly eggs to individuals who want these lovely butterflies in their gardens. Everything about this Centre is impressive if you take the time and effort to absorb it all.

    An Tranquil Island of Beauty
We had as others have commented ‘templed-out’ and this island of beauty tempted us in. Noun Vichet showed us around, excellent English and a credit to Cambodia and BBC. The Butterflies exuded all their charm, and Noun explained their life cycle and the aim of the project. A must visit location. Good luck to this Enterprise and all that nurture and support it. Bravo. Beautiful butterflies and other neat stuff
This little butterfly center had beautiful butterflies, but we also saw cool frogs and even a few neat insects (and I am not usually a fan of bugs). For $6 you get a guided tour that lasts about 30 minutes. They walk you through and show you caterpillars/butterflies in different stages of development. We learned a lot. And we say lovely butterflies flitting around on some beautiful flowers. I don't think we would have visited this one all on its own, but it was a nice stop on the way back to Siem Reap from Phnom Kulen National Park. We enjoyed it.

    Beautiful Butterflies
Returning to Siem reap after visiting temples we decided to stop here and so glad we did. The young man who showed us around was very knowledgeable about the centre and his English was excellent. The butterflies were beautiful and the garden a pleasure to wander around. Well worth a visit

A lovely butterfly conservation centre situated not far from the Angkor Wat temples. The staff were friendly and gave us a wonderful and informative tour of the pretty garden, showing us the different life stages of the butterfly. We stayed for around 30 minutes and saw several species of butterfly. The $6 entrance fee for adults seems reasonable as it's paying for the conservation efforts.

Dear Joanna, Thank you for visiting Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre and for giving your positive feedback about our garden, staff and the conservation work we are doing. Like you mentioned the entrance fee will be spent towards biodiversity conservation and with your visit we are able to support our local communities. With all the best, the BBC team

Please go and support the work they are doing here. After two years of Covid, they are trying to re-open fully, but they need tourist support to do so. Then they can get more staff back and more farmers onboard to farm butterflies (meaning they train them about the importance of the pollinators and not using pesticides - important work). The staff here love what they do and are passionate about the butterflies. We learned about the whole life cycle and saw butterfly eggs, many pupa and butterflies. It is worthwhile stop and very near Banteay Srey. When we went, the entry fee was by donation - so please support them!

We took the opportunity of stopping here along with the landmine museum on our way back to town from Branteay Srei Temple and really glad we did. Admission is $6 per adult with a guided tour to explain everything front collecting eggs to the final release into the park. It's fascinating and well worth it. Highly recommended, and the staff are so passionate and knowledgeable.Loved it.

While you are in Siem Reap off course you are going to visit the temples, but you should definitely visit this place to give something back , to learn more about the projects mission and off course see the butterflies! It’s a brilliant cause, the staff are so passionate, I was so lucky to have a private tour by Assistant manager Noun Vichet. His sense of commitment to the project is palpable and contagious.
Thank you for a very much for a very enjoyable and educational time, I shall definitely return.

What a fabulous experience for all ages! Mr. Phem has a wealth of knowledge and loves to share it. I saw stunningly beautiful butterflies that where in the final stages of leaving their cocoons, brilliantly colored caterpillars and crystallized cocoons that looked like pieces of gold and silver jewelry. Did you know the caterpillar can use mercury from the soil and absorbed by plants to make this exquisite gold and silver looking substance?
I even had a stick insect crawl up my arm. Such gentle creatures.
The garden is a piece of paradise with beautifully colorful flora.
Nice to linger in the little Cafe for a light meal or fresh fruit juices, surrounded by such peaceful beauty.
Ideal place for those traveling with children.

Beautiful gardens and place to spend time with butterflies all around. Also interesting to learn more about the butterflies. We paid $6 each to get in and then we’re effectively given a private tour by one of the staff with excellent English
