A lovely tour of Prek Toal Floating Village and Bird Sanctuary. We departed from Chong Kneas Port and traveled about 1.5 hours by boat to the village. When we arrived we visited some of their facilities and then boarded a different boat to see the bird sanctuary. This boat ride lasted approximately 2 hours. We were able to see so much wildlife that can’t be spotted elsewhere. Afterwards, we had a lovely meal at their floating restaurant and visited their hyacinth workshop. We then made the 1.5 hour journey back to Chong Kneas Port. The guide and Osmose team were very kind, informational, and passionate. I learned a lot about life in the village and how they are helping to improve livelihoods for nearly 25 years. We were spending a wonderfull day with our guide Nam for birdwatching and a visit to the water village. Nam is a great guide with a great knowledge of all the waterbirds on the Tonle Sap lake. After our birdwatching and a simple but very good lunch at the local Osmose restaurant we visited in the village different farms (crocodile, vegetables, fish, ....). Nam was also explaining us the environmental facts and issues around the lake and the social project of Osmose as an environmental motor around the lake but also a beautifull social project for the water village people. In one word SUPER.…

The company picked us up from our hotel and looked after every detail of the day. …

Hello, We are very happy to hear that you were satisfied with your visit with us. More than that we would like to thank you very much for taking part in our Ecotour to the Tonle Sap Lake and sharing feedback to people who have just planing their visit to Siem Reap. Beside the ecotourism tour, your participation contributed to Osmose’s action for preserving the environment of Tonle Sap and supporting the poorest floating communities by - Directly supporting the village economy (paddlers, village tour, cookers, homestays, handicraft), - Providing funds to Osmose environmental education program (provide Environmental classes to covering 900 children in the floating village to better understand the impact the Tonle sap lake environment). - Directly support to conservation program ( Entrance fee to visit the bird sanctuary ) All the best to you Sovann
