We visited with our 9yr and enjoyed very much. The driver picked us up at the hotel nd dropped us at the musuem afterwards. Samol was our instructor and she was very patient and guided us well. We had several pieces delivered to the hotel the next evening and easy to bring small pots back for a unique souvenir. Great vibe at the studio and would highly recommend for everyone. Thank you Samol!!

We just visited the centre to do some shopping and had a short tour of the centre. We had been to a few restaurants in Phnom Penh that had served food on plates from Khmer ceramics. The products are beautifully made and there is a huge variety of items for purchase. I could have happily bought half the shop but apparently airlines have some weight limits!

My family just went there to a workshop ( 2hours course) and we had no help at all untill a sweet girl finally steped in. We were charged 15 $ per course and 5!!!! dollars per piece of clay turning out to be someting.
Absolutely NOT recommendable.
There are many other options in Siem Reap where families can enjoy themselves with out feeling robbed - try those :-) and avoid Khmer Cermics Centre.

Each of us were given 3 mold of clay to create 3 different piece of Khmer Ceramic art and 1 chosen art piece would be fired and glazed.

We had put in great effort in decorating all the 3 art pieces and definitely assuming we would be able to receive all 3 pieces the next day as promised (Free delivery of art pieces to our hotel at stated timing: 12:00pm)

However, the delivery of art pieces arrived late at 12.50pm. We were rushing to the airport and the bus driver was already waiting impatiently. We had the hotel's receptionist to call several times to the centre since 12.15pm but had received constant ignorance from the staff until a staff confirms that the art pieces were just being delivered.

We were utmost disappointed when the pieces arrived. We were supposed to received a total of 3 pieces each. But we'd only received 1 fire and glazed chosen art piece. Hence we called back and enquire. To my dismay, the staff said if we want the other 2 items that we did individually, we've to pay an additional $5 for each piece. However, this was not informed to us when we mold our clay and we had put in so much effort in designing each pieces. In addition, we were told there would a certificate for us but we did not receive it as well!

As we were tight for time, we had no choice but to let it go. However, we'd like everyone who is considering this place for clay classes to think carefully because they do not practice what they had said. A very disappointing itinerary of the trip to Siem Reap.

Dear customer, The late delivery (FREE) might happen from time to time as we have many potteries to deliver. Please, note we are one of the only place WORLDWIDE able to fire ceramics so fast (less than 24 hours). Concerning the single piece fired, we sincerely apology if you feel cheated by us. Steal or scam our customers is definitely not in our intentions, our entire project depends on our customers. Our ceramics center is not supported by donations, our customers are our unique sponsors. The single piece fired is well mentioned on our website and brochures but maybe you skipped this information because perhaps booking via your hotel or a travel agency? However, your comment helped us to improve this. We hope you still enjoyed your classes with free pickup and dropoff, free delivery of your piece and that this misunderstanding did not spoil your trip. Sincerely.

I took my five children to make pottery at the Khmer Ceramics Center. We had a great time throwing the pots, and the workers were patient with my young children. Serge was enthusiastic and fun to talk to about pottery. We left the center happy about our experience (though I thought US$20 per child for the two pots each was a little pricey) They agreed to deliver the pots to our hotel after glazing and firing.

However, we were sorely disappointed when we opened our pots upon returning home. The glaze job was done very, very poorly, almost like they cared nothing for how they turned out, since we had already paid for them. Plus, they had asked the kids to separate the pots into green and blue glaze preference. But they glazed everything blue, regardless of our selection. It could have turned out so much better had they given a little care to the glazing.

I would recommend this place, but only with a caution to be sure you talk to them about glazing your pots, if you care at all about the final product.

Very rude staff; absolutely zero customer service and it was like they are making a big favor to people going there. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Waste of time and leaves a bad taste.

Sir, You use Tripadvisor to blackmail us, to get free delivery by DHL. It seems Tripadvisor accept, and by fact, encourage blackmail. We are not afraid about your 1/5 which is ridiculous. We focus all our effort to take care of our real visitors and real customers in the real life. That’s why we are one of the very few place in Siem Reap selling real products. All greetings from our team to our real customers and real reviewers. Ms. Sreymom

My daughter and I were so plead to purchase 3 lovely vases which represented our trip. The store assured us they shipped to the USA regularly. Once received however, the three vases were wrapped in paper and shipped together in one small box. completely shattered-each vase! So sad, especially since we paid $500 dollars total. I am hoping they respond to my email soon....

The description of the pottery class experience advertised in local papers and online is vastly different from what actually happens. I had a "teacher" who spoke almost no english and spent most of the time telling me that what i was doing was wrong then stepping in and doing all the projects herself. There was no tour of the center and you could not choose the color glaze your work was finished in, nor could you glaze it yourself. Sadly i learned nothing about the process.

We had a great time, they did an excellent job helping my 3 and 7 year old children with their pottery. They also have a well appointed gift shop. A great way to help disadvantaged Cambodians.

We heard about the pottery class from our hotel. We've been longing to learn so we jumped at the opportunity. The staff was excellent and our teacher was super helpful. We had no problem learning how to make a piece of pottery. They turned out so well that we took four home. It was such a fun experience. Highly recommended.
