My husband and I recently visited the artisan silk farm in Angkor Wat. Our guide Chhat was absolutely delightful and very knowledgeable. The ladies working at the silk farm are so skilled and you are able to see every part of the process from the mulberry bushes to completed garments. It is completely fascinating and I will never again complain... More

Our tuk tuk driver took my friend and I out to the farm. It is free and we gave a tip to our personal tour guide who greeted us as we stepped out of the tuk tuk. We did not make an appointment. It was a humbling experience for me. A lot of people and a lot of very detailed... More

We spent a morning exploring the Artisans d'Angkor Silk Farm. Our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. We were taken through all the stages of silk production and then shown how some of the items are created by highly skilled weavers. At the end of the tour there is an opportunity to shop but there is no pressure to purchase... More

We spent about an hour touring through the facility with a guide who was most informative explaining every step from silk worm to beautiful fabrics. Well worth a visit as its free...with a small tip to the guide.

If you are a fan of traditional crafts, fine fabrics or just something unique to get out of the heat, the silk farms are a great stop. Admission is free, you make tip the guide, however. There is no pressure to buy in the shop, but the clerks are readily available to help

I visited the silk farm on a weekday with a few friends, and had a really nice tourguide. You get to see the process of silk creation at every stage. The tour ends up in the gift shop (air conditioned, fortunately), and their silk gifts are just lovely. It isn't cheap, but worth supporting a non-profit that does community building... More

Another reviewer said your experience depends on your guide but we didn't even have one! I went with my husband who is Cambodian and the guide asked my husband if we'd like a guide or not. I emphatically said YES and our guide pointed to the first room with his hand outstretched (like right this way...) and we both assumed... More
