We had a very enjoyable trip to Kompong Phluk. The boat ride was relaxing and scenic. We were amazed to see the houses on stilts and people going about their lives. Be sure to take the small boat through the mangroves, awesome! We just hired a driver (no guide) and the cost of big boat and small boat was $17... More

We enjoyed this excursion very much and a recommended visit place if you go during monsoon season My first time to Siem Reap, we bought excursion ticket $18 US each. The during was from 2pm and ended at 7pm. The price include pick up from hotel, boat ride price and return to hotel. At Kompong Phluk, we paid $5 US... More

It is incredible how a boat ride can be so relaxing! Our fourth visit to this village and nothing has changed except the level of the water. Children swimming, boats returning with their catch, people repairing their nets, people fishing and everyone going on with their daily chores. Children wave as we pass by with big smiles on their faces.... More

Our first time in Siem Reap we wondered what living in a local floating community might be like. We traveled by 'tuk-tuk', $20 for the return trip, to the checkpoint for the boat trip to the 'Floating Village'. The price was around $20 per person and we recommend you barter for the best price. The relaxing boat ride took 45... More

We really enjoyed our day there. Thanks to our very nice tuk tuk driver we payed only 15$ for the boat! We heard that some tourists pay much more. The village was very nice, and the forest in the water very impressive. You can see how people fish in the lake. The tuk tuk for the day was not very... More

During my trip to Cambodia, I requested to see an area around the City of Siem Reap from my private tour guide. He took me to a few places in the area but Kompong Phluk is stuck with me mostly because I have a mix feeling about this place. It is a beautiful, calm and stunning view surrounding the river... You pay $20 each at the entry point and for this you get a motorboat trip down the river to the village, the boat then continues around the 'floating village' and then you get dropped off at the jetty where you take a small wooden boat (2 passengers) paddled by a villager around the mangrove swamp, it's a nice peaceful... I definitely wanted to visit one of the floating villages in Cambodia but kept hearing about mediocre / poor experiences and ripoffs so I did a lot of reading around to see if I could find something decent. I read a couple positive posts about people making a booking through the Two Dragons Guesthouse and how much they liked it... More
