Siem Reap River runs through the Siem Reap city. Whether you go towards Angkor enterprise ticketing office (tuk tuk drivers take along the river road) or while visiting temples or markets in the city, you will go along side the Siem reap river.

Siem Reap River has parkways both the sides. Many temples/pagodas and market places are located near along the river side. At many points bridges connect both the sides of the river. Though it is not a wide and big river, the beautification along the river side makes it an attraction.

In city side, some of the main attractions near the river are Royal palace, Royal independence garden, Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chom Temple (Two sisters temple), Wat Preah Prom Rath temple, Psar Chaa - Old Market, etc.

Not really an attraction and if you're in Siem Reap and aren't blind, you won't be able to miss it as it passes through the town. Some parts of the river is lovely and closer to the Royal Gardens, the locals exercise there in the evening and good place to take shade during the hot sun.

This is the river that runs through the heart of Siem Reap. We crossed it a few times whilst heading to the different parts of town. It’s nice at night when there’s some light decorations floating in the river

I can only go with the current period as at this time the river has no flow, covered in green algae and rubbish. It stinks.

It it however pretty along the river with parks and good lighting at night. Plenty of 'cute' bridge crossings along its length through town. As I said when there is no rain and no flow, it Stinks.

Siem Reap river presents a nice environment in the evenings and at night when the temperatures are more bearable. The lightining, bridges make for a nice evening stroll, especially with your partner. Even in day time it was okay, but not as much fun as at dusk.

Don't miss to sit down at the wooden bridge crossing the pub street.

Enjoy the wind, look, see, watch all works of life and tourists passing by.

The only way stay away from the sun, the crowd and enjoy the river view.

The ripples come to you with the wind, lovely with your fresh fruit juice...ha.....ha.....I have coconut n papaya.

Nice quiet river running through Siem Reap. It has a few bridges running over it. Good to take a walk along it.

Visited Siem Reap River after lunch at Malis Restaurant. Was quiet and no activity. Many vehicles driving on both side of the river. Few bridges linking the river which runs through the city. Many restaurants, cafes, shops located by the river.

It was last day of Pcham Ben Festival, on 2 Oct 2016 at dawn visited Siem Reap River and saw few lighted boats flowing down it. Devotees sending off their deceased relative back to the other world. Happy to witness this colourful event.

Enjoyed this unusual visit.
